Bromazepam (Brazepam)

So I have found quite a few 6mg Bromazepam tablets that I had ordered from an IOP Pharmacy about a year ago I think. They are Brazepam (South African Generic) according to the package insert I found in the envelope.

Anyone find Bromazepam recreational? I have taken 4 6mg pills. So, 24mg.
At first I just took 3, and now I just took another one.
I don't know how my benzo tolerance is since I have been pretty much clean from benzos for about 6 months (except for my phenazepam binge).

I don't plan to get addicted to benzo's again since the withdrawal is just horrid.

Anyone have experience with Bromazepam? I haven't taken them for a long time so I don't know much.

I am hoping these aren't 'bunk' tablets. I feel it a little bit, but its very subtle.
Also, they were sitting in an open envelope just loose, and have probably been sitting like that for quite awhile so I am not sure if they could "go bad" or not.

What do you guys think about Bromazepam? %)
 
I notice its effects, but yes they are very subtle. But Bromazepam seems to be great for just reducing anxiety. Its hard to find IOP's with good quality benzodiazepines.

I wish I had access to the Canadian generic benzo's, as they are top notch. I find Canada's APO-Diazepam to even better than the Roche name brand Valium. If only I could get a job in a pharmaceutical warehouse. ;)
 
It's a great anxiolytic -- definitely up there with diazepam, clonazepam, alprazolam, and lorazepam.
 
Excellent anxiolytic benzo for me personally, possibly because I have had less exposure to it and there isn't total cross tolerance between benzo's though. I definately find bromazepam useful as a therapeutic benzo and OK as a recreational one. For some reason when I smoke dope on bromazepam it seems more sedating than when smoking on other benzo's, despite bromazepam probably being the least sedating benzo I have used on its own... weird.

I get better effects off of 18mg bromazepam than I do off 3mg of alprazolam/xanax which is an equivalent benzo dose according to the chart I checked.

Ive actually never herd of Bromazepam i would assume its in the same family as temazepam clonazepam lorazepam etc,
but never herd of them so obviously i have never taken them but if the did sit out in open air for a long time the quality will dcline ,you tell me how ya feel after taken m i am very interessted...
 
Well now I feel extremely relaxed.. This is after taking 36mg of Bromazepam which is roughly equivalent to about 50-60mg of Diazepam.

I kind of like Bromazepam, it gives me a little bit of a mood lift as well, even though it is very subtle. :)
 
^ The mood lift is definately present and comparable to that of diazepam for me. It is a really good benzo for going about your day nice and anxiety free without being encumbered by unwanted/unneccessary sedation.
 
I Find this benzo (Bromazepam) to really actually be quite enjoyable, and very useful for taking heavy anxiety off your mind.

I can't seem to understand why hardly anyone on Bluelight has mentioned it. Or who say that it is a very weak benzo and doesn't do much at all.

I actually find it about a medium strength benzo, not too strong, not too weak - just sort of in the middle. This benzo also allows me to function normally, even when taking a high dose like 36mg (although I am nodding off right now).

So far I find it very quite similar to Diazepam, but the mood lift from Bromazepam I find to be more 'present' than it is with Diazepam. But Diazepam I find has more muscle relaxant properties to it, and Bromazepam seems to have more anxiolytic properties to it. I am wondering what the duration of action is with Bromazepam, it seems longer than that of Diazepam but then again I redosed more Bromazepam about an hour later after taking my first dose of 24mg. Is this benzo available in the US? Because I have had it prescribed to me before in Canada.

But this is very close with effects as Diazepam.

Lorazepam I still find superior to both Diazepam, and Bromazepam in terms of anxiety reduction. But this benzo is underrated for sure. :)
 
I don't like bromazepam, it put me in depression within one week. But if I had only that, I'd take it anyway.
I think it's not prescribed in the US. Quite potent a benzo, IMO twice as potent as diazepam, but with a shorter half-life (around 20 hours).
 
Diazepams half-life is considerably longer than bromazepams, while bromazepam has a half-life of 8-30 hours diazepam has a half-life of 30-200 hours according to this chart and this one. For some reason I had diazepam's half-life in my head as 20-100 hours, and I have found some charts to be conflicting but I can't be bothered looking at more than 2 right now.

In regards to why it isn't spoken about much is I think it is a very underprescribed benzo. I live in Australia and am very familiar with most recreational benzo's and I have been written benzo's by many doctors, when I got written bromazepam recently I didn't even know what 'Lexotan' was (the brand name for bromazepam in Australia). Nobody I know who has been prescribed or purchased benzo's on the black market had heard of it until I got a script. I had heard of bromazepam but didn't think it was even scripted here.

From personal experience all benzos have a very Very distinct taste. For instance valium taste like chalk, xanax taste like bitter chalk just not as chalky as valium, klonopin taste kind of like what others have said here a sweet mint, and lorazepam is very easy as it taste like a sugar pill(its probably the best tasting imho), also I've noticed temazepam to have a very odd taste like if you pour the powder in your mouth and it hits your throat its an instant cough and kinddaa sweet at taste in a bitter way if that makes sense. I have never tried bromazepam, but would def like to. It seems to be subtle from my reading. Probably enjoyable. Anyway never take pills until you do I pill identification when you find or obtain pills. Make sure alllll markings are correct. Mr is always right with his benzos and tbh I would take his word over anyone elses word on here just because I know he's been back and fourth and seems to be able to give the most knowledgable respondes. No ass kissing just love mr k man.
 
i'm not a fan of benzos recreationally. but both recreationally and theraputically this is by far my favourite.

i just wanna say in terms of them being left out- i took some like that and it felt ok but not like it should at the time, the next day my brain felt properly messed with and physically i felt awful. this was prescribed so not bunk, but probably a year out of date and not in a sealed container.
 
Here, Roche bromazepam (Lexomil) are like Xanax bars, 4 parts in a little white and chalky tasting bar.

if lorazepam works better for you then yer lucky cause for me i can take at least ten lorazepams and still feel practically nuthin but i take 5 ten mg valiums and i feel great .though i havent tried that lately it may take more valiums to effect me the same way it used to ,im on 8 mg of clonazepams and 60 mg of temazepams and 20 5mg nozinans rite now and havent felt anything yet. i miss the good old days when a few vs or like 5 temazepams made me feel nice and relaxed and just plain feelin good .
But honestly the lorazepams i would get almost evrytime im in the hospital waiting downstairs till they ship me u[pstairs and i get morphine then demimorph then demeral ,along with my clonazepams nozinans temazepams tylenal 3s and seroquel so when im uin the hospital i feel pretty good they have to give you a shot every 4 hours if needed or basically if asked ,I dont even have to ask anymore they just put it rite on my daily drug plan (every 4 hours i can have morphine or demeral and ill say demerals shots are better i was told that the demeral shots are ten times stronger that morphine....
 
^ Well, I wouldn't exactly they say I like Lorazepam better than Bromazepam. They are both quite different in effects if you ask me. Bromazepam is a little more similar to Diazepam, but I find Bromazepam to be slightly stronger than Diazepam, and also lasts longer than Diazepam.

Even though the half life of Bromazepam is something like 9-20 hours. Bromazepam seems to have a longer duration of action than Diazepam. Lorazepam I find to be more hypnotic, and to also cause more amnesia, and it targets and hits panic attacks a lot quicker than both Diazepam and Bromazepam. I'm still not 100% sure what I think about comparing the three but here is my conclusion thus far:

  • Bromazepam - my favourite
  • Lorazepam - second favourite
  • Diazepam - third favourite

Now, keep in mind that I am just comparing these three benzos, if I had to compare Alprazolam, Clonazepam, and Temazepam, it would be a different comparison all together. I have only had Temazepam a few times when I wrote my own prescription for it. I can't really remember what it felt like because I was already so zonked out on my Suboxone, and Flurazepam as well as Ativan.

Since I haven't had these benzo's listed above while I have had no other drugs in my system, I don't know how I would compare. Clonazepam I remember quite welll actually though and that is a potent benzo, so it would probably be up there in spot #1 or #2 for sure.
