The warmth of your smile
that shed the inches of
light upon my face.
One chance for that
glance to discover
what the look upon
my face really
meant.
I need every inch that
you gave to my mile,
which give me the hope,
of something more,
to this broken jagged
edged mirror.
I watched it as it slid
down out of my hands
destroying completeness
into a dozen pieces, and I relate
what was my heart from before.
I pushed
the
pieces
forcefully
back into
the
shapes
of my
life.
And when I looked,
I saw how distorted my
life had once become.
Never taking the time
to mend all the faults that
some else had left me to
feed off of.
And to twist the facts
that this could be something
worth living for.
Unless you are a misleading account of my misrepresentations.
Could the possibility that the rays of the sun
had been combined by human strengths
And together we made the world warm.
Warm to wish for something with an
exspectation of all its fullfillment, of the
riches fields that went on forever.
And maybe I can't see heaven
outside your eyes, and maybe
there is a hell that follows behind
me, waiting for me to leave a part
of the mirror behind, to hold something
against me.
But, it's
something
that I
will
welcome.
To know that I can
only promise myself
the desire to find
truth in everything
that we could do.
I can show you
the confidence
that I wish I had
in myself. To show
no matter where
you go, and I can
still be more, whole
than yesterday.
Afraid to tell you,
that as you build
me into us. I am the
one taking down
those little footnotes
of rememberence.
These componets of
being a fool, might
mean that sometimes,
we all fall in......and out
of love, and the grain
of salt we take with it
makes us all, some
what stronger. And we
know that we will survive,
even though everything
could go wrong.
No matter hard our hearts
hit the floor, so I ask myself?
Why is this bridge just to high for me,
to take the leap into another exciting
journey....to learn more about myself, amoung
other things.
To see this one face when I close my eyes
at nite, and to breathe his name endlessly,
without even knowing I'm thinking twice
about the what should, could, and would of
been....
You make me dance the words of my
emotions, and my head sing the feelings
that I could never share, and my fingers
grip toward the hand that you left for me
to hold.......

Afraid to tell you,
that as you build
me into us. I am the

those little footnotes

That sentiment is really quite amazing. I understand it completely, very well from my experience, but I've never seen it put quite as well and simply as this.
Congratulations one one stunning masterpiece of emotion in the guise of poetry.

"one stunning masterpiece of emotion in the guise of poetry. "
...which is probably the biggest compliment you can give a poet and one I second wholeheartedly. :)
These componets of
being a fool, might

of salt we take with it
makes us all, some

This is so true. Life is just a game we play where we don't know the rules and hope we don't get beaten too badly.

Frosty I’m quite impressed.
This is an exceptionally brilliant piece and you prove yourself an remarkably gifted author.

this is what you were waiting for, wasn't it? what we were both waiting for... someone to treat us good, and not make us feel the way the jay's and justin's of the world did. and maybe to repair a little bit of the damage.
remember our conversation at the kitchen table late last night. its everything i've been meaning to say to you for awhile.
i'm happy for you.

These are kind of like my thoughts at the end of a long, long relationship (only mine would be slightly more venge-filled). Learning about yourself without interaction with others is just as inspiring as growing with someone else, hope is what you make of it.
(edit)
I apologize for the short response but my cat just nocked my cereal all over my keyboard.

Wow! This was truly amazing. The way you expressed your emotions in this piece of poetry was truly amazing. You are a brilliant writer. You put down on paper (or the monitor) what I have been thinking, but just didn't know how to express. Thank you!

On a more serious note Jen sweatheart. I have only known you a short time and like I said from day one its as I have known you all my life. You are such a talented women. Your way with words is absolutly sensational(there didnt have to say am***ng).
I think this has been your best work so far to date. I just guess I have to sit here and wait to see the next piece of unbelievable work from such an inspiring person.
Keep up the good work sweetie you are definetly keeping me tuned in :-)

frosty I was simply amazed by your wonderful writing ;)

This is such a good peice, but for a lot of people, my self included, the grain of salt, while making them stronger, also seems to make us that much more cynical. but I have no doubt that someone will come and show me the error of my cynical ways one day. brilliant writing hun :)
