Ballyhoo
Bluelighter
Not justified by poem or rhyme
Just a brief tale of my time
Put on this earth for reasons unknown
I’ve had to learn to stand on my own
Father was a cocaine cowboy and a hired gun
Hidden and left alone to be the forgotten son
He was always too busy having his own fun
Mother loves me but still I was abandoned
Though I have suffered much but still I have grown
Many lessons learned yet I still stand alone
Nomadic and free to roam
My heart still longs for a place to call home
A great heart and good looks can take you far
But no plastic surgeon could remove this scar
Endure I do still
Finding no cure in any pill
Now living life for more than a thrill
No longer blaming my parents for what is to endure still
Just a brief tale of my time
Put on this earth for reasons unknown
