Opioids Broke my arm. On bupe mantinence

ive been on 4-8mgs of intranasal sub for a year. I took my last 2mg dose several days ago, and less than 24 hours after dosing I sniffed 10mgs of hydro and felt way better, a little buzzed even. I guess it varies from person to person but considering I used to take 50-80mg before going on bupe it seems my receptors are in decent shape.

your an idiot bro.....

Not helpful!

....Narcan. Or naloxone, in suboxone....due to its high binding affinity,.......Furthermore, if op is taking their subs sublingually the BA of naloxone in there is less than other roa's (sniff or shooting)...

Well, well aware of this brother :)

...Switching to subs the naloxone causes problems cuz its outcompetes most full agonists.....

Hence why if the pt is switched to what+narc they have to be somewhat in WD to prevent precipitated WD (which can be worse).

.....Also they do prescribe opiates to people on bupe maintenance if they need them.......

Of course. :) My main point was don't be afraid of telling the physician that you are on an ORT since there are more then opiate analgesics to help with pain. I say this since I have seen others on a ORT program worry that they would be left high and dry because of it. :D

A broken wrist does not call for opiates, especially not if you are a recovering addict and i can tell you i have broken alot of bones without taking more than a few paracetamol and the doctors didnt prescribe me any opiates.
