8) i wasnt getting all polictical nor was i trying to do a comparison as im sure the QLD one will kick arse. The melb one was good but it just had it moments like any event..just saying the last one here left a bit to be desired. everyones entitled to an opinion and that was mine.

That's fair enough.

Each to their own. =D

whhoooo i'll be there. It's going to be one crazy weekend. I would prefer if it stayed nice and dry though. Rain is not really my friend when I camp :D

mmm..sphongle...mmm hired goonz, im so excited i cant get to sleep tonight.

Would anybody be interested in a meet up? I'ts always nice to meet new peeps :D

Ah was a fairly good event all in all, amazing work by fse to pull it all together :). If i go again i don't think i'd camp over night though camping+acid+packing up that equipment while still altered was hard, folding is....strange.

Here's my review:

We left around 12:30pm to head out to the event all was going pretty smoothly but the directions got confusing so we stopped in what i think was jinma or kilcoy to ask for directions onto the something-murgon road (i wasn't driving and don't remember too well) I asked a friendly old guy and we headed off with those directions, then it appeared this was taking a long long time and we weren't going down the roads we were meant to....things became obviously wrong when we ended up in a town called blackbutt and it was 4pm.

The driver asked for directions there and it appeared we had to travel all the way back the way we came, by the time we reached earthcore it was around 5-6pm, painful cramped driving experience with all the luggage.

The site was nice and the rolling hills of the valley and the sunset\sunrises were amazing. From where we were parked it was a large walk to the dance site though.(Couldn't find where to catch the bus either) The downhill into the valley then the large uphill walk to the dance area was taxing and fairly hard to navigate without a torch. On the friday I'd only gotten 5 hours sleep the night before and was in a fairly tired mind state and things became confusing when no one seemed to be playing at the set time they were meant to.

All the markets and food with easy access to and from the different stages made the night flow smoothly though. I had a good dance to some of the music playing at the dnb stage then called it a night at 4 am.

Sleep came fairly easy in the uncomfy tent that night only to wake up about 3 hours later to start slowly baking while marinated in my own sweat and dirt in my tent oven. Pass out for 30-40minutes wake up even worse, repeat cycle twice more till more sleep is unobtainable .

The inbuilt showers were a life saver dirt wise and its very nice to regain that fresh and clean feeling for a short period of time till you're once again sweating and dirt covered :p

On the saturday night I was amazed how chilly it got, car windows fogging up and it becoming jumper weather (were second thoughts on packing the jumper at all but very glad i did) Ah sweet sweet amorphous androgynous, their music coming alive like some sort of future porno guitar disco. A very amazing show and absolutely flawlessly exectuted. I found it great just how accurate their songs were performed live in comparison to their recorded cd versions. Mainly because a lot of bands suddenly can't pull of the same quality live as on cd.

A lot of wandering and dancing took place floating between the dnb and main stage. Crazy twisted outdoors fantasy crackland amusement park, I especially loved the setup the juice bar had with the puffed up spikes.

A few trips to and from the car\tent area and the hill was beginning to destroy me. The night of sets at the main stage and whispa at the dnb stage was great, though times on the main stage were late and once again confused me greatly (not wanting to miss any of the great acts) I missed perry farrels set which i think i'm now greatful for after hearing what a trainwreck it was.

D-Ko, soma-rasa, and proppellerhead's were great and in their element that night though. With another heading back to the tent and a shower to get fresh for the morning sets the pain of no sleep started setting in.

This was soon forgotten when System 7 rocked the stage. For me it was the highlight of the day\night, it made me very happy seeing how into the guitar and music steve hillage was during the set, it all blended and sounded great.

Back to the tent again to drop off the jumper and now the heat started taking hold as an increasing number of flys began war with the dancefloor and my face. Caught the end of luke psywalkers set and most of hired goons but after that i was completely exhausted, sweaty, sleep deprived, and acid raped. (Edited. Dont need to know about your habits)

We packed up the tents, luggage, cleaned up our area and made sure everything was where it should be and then began the long drive home before the swarm would be leaving. Home was finally reached at around 1pm and to my horror sleep was not easily obtainablem overexhaustion took its toll.

I drank some kava to try and put me out but it seemed to just potenate the tail of the acid experience and sleep only came after a real meal and at 9pm that night. All in all was a great production the only issue i had was with the dj times and i know that probably couldn't be helped so it's easily forgiveable.

I didn't realise how long this would be till i finished ;)

A big thanks to all involved in making this happen, particularly FSE. Sunday was very hot, so RaveSafe teams were busy attempting to cool the crowd with spraying while offering out free drinking water. Perhaps a water canon next year....

All in all it was a very well organised event IMO. The close proximity of the stages was a big plus, and the performer line-up was fabulous. System 7 was a highlight for me, but sets by propellerhead, psywalker were also fantastic. Not to forget the incredible journey with Beka; Awesome.
