I was put on a new anti depressant called Brintllex. Does anyone have any information on it? I'm pretty new to this. I was put on Zoloft for a few months with constant increases on the dosage and it wasn't effective enough. So my doctor put me on Brintllex. 10Mg a day. But I was up to 150mg a day on Zoloft.

It's not your typical SSRI, it has rather complex MOA for an anti-depressant.

I have depression and have tried numerous medications including SSRIs. My previous psychiatrist had mentioned this as a new option and said it had a mechanism of action that was somewhat different from current antidepressants. Honestly, it's the sort of thing you are just going to have to try and see what results you get. The proof is in the pudding.

This, unfortunately. Antidepressants are such a crapshoot in this day of semiunderstanding of how neurochemistry manifests psychologically. I'm currently on my 8th antidepressant. Well, along with the aripiprazole, that5 makes nine I guess.
