Bringing "legal Highs" Into Festivals (Australia)

Hey guys,



Since of how the pill market is these days in Australia and the high risk of getting caught by sniffer dogs at festivals, i have decided to infest in some LU Doves that have test positive for either butylone/methylone, aparently they go really good compared ti the real thing.

Now i want to take them to an up comming event that will most likely have a police presence, I know that the pills probably wont be able to be sniffed by the dogs, but if by some reason i am searched and the cops do find the pills what do u think will happen? i was thinking of just leaving them in the orignal packaging and/or stashing em in a bag in my underwear, i dont think they can search me if they dont get a reaction from the dogs but if they do for some reason search me they are sold as "plant feeder" the cops might get sus and confiscate/charge me. what do u think is the safest way of bringing these beans into a festival like this? Do you think i should do it at all?
 
Don't do it at all. If you want to use drugs, do so outside of an event.

If police will be at the event, it's a chance they will single you out and violate your rights. Therefore, I wouldn't do it at all.

i would pob just take em right before the event, depends how your getting there.

oral right? i mean just be smart about it, how old are you 15?

The thing is a lot of the dogs are trained to detect the pills themselves, that is the binders and cuts as well as the drug itself in the pressed pills, so you could still get done.
 
If you have caps or pills and are caught don't expect the cops at the time to take a different stance because you claim they contain some quasi-legal ingredient rather than MDMA. In their eyes you will be a dirty-druggie grub smuggling ecstasy into a festival and will leave it for the courts to decide whether you had a legal high or not.

Depending on what state you're in the police have varying search powers (VIC police might have stronger powers to search for weapons?). As far as I know in other states all they need though is a reasonable cause to believe you might be carrying something illegal to search you. At the B.D.O. in QLD earlier in the year the searching out in public included turning pockets inside out, and having officers of the same sex as the patron checking in their underwear/bras. They may have had a separate area for full searches but I didn't see it.

Please do not risk it. As Captain Heroin suggested if you're going to take anything illict then take it before going in, however be mindful of the dose you're taking, how long it will affect you, when your favourite acts are playing etc.

Also no advice on smuggling drugs into festivals please.
 
Legality of these substances mean nothing to the security presence at events such as these; take them prior to attending.
 
such bad advice telling to people to take it just before u go in for 2 reasons 1 being u might have a few and u OD 2nd being u come down way too soon and ruin the end of the night
 
Well i was assuming he knew what the safe dose was. Ok then i should of said throw it in the bin or just walk thru the dogs n hope u dont get caught.

I did have a the disclaimer on my post telling him to be mindful of this though... We're all aware here of the incident at the Perth BDO where that young girl died from dropping her entire stash before entering due to the drug detection dogs :(
 
Yeah, i can see where u are comming from about the cops being able to tell or even care if they are legal, i guess i should just treat em like the real deal then, i dont wana drop em before going in coz the festival goes for 11 hours, i mite just have 1, before and have another to take in, if the cops come near me in the line ill just drop it on the ground.
 
Considering that 1 in 3 ppl caught by dogs has nothing on them, you've also got to factor it's more than just the drugs on you that can get you caught. It's anything from fear in your eyes/behaviour, to a smell on you picked up somewhere along the way, to straight up bad luck. You should basically consider that you have about the same possibility of being picked up with one of these on you as you would with any 'standard' illegal pills.

If you get caught with anything they don't like (even the proper legal ones) the likelihood is they will book you on the day, prevent you from having access to the festival, and charge you as appropriate. I've had mates caught at festivals (with and without gear - including cavity searches for those without) and knowing the procedure once they got you, I can't imagine a "these are actually legal, officer" getting you an apology and an entry in to the festival. Far from it. Can very much see you just getting booked and kept out like normal, and then having to prove your innocence in court.
 
You see Legal Highs sold at a lot of festivals these days any way. Why risk a good old constable gloving for something you could simply buy once inside? Guilty until you prove otherwise is the rule of thumb with police searches I'm afraid. I'm sure one or two "legal" highs if sent away for a court case would probably come back as illegal under the analogue laws.

I had to laugh at the last doof I was at with the Happy Healthy Herb tent. Obviously had to market to the health conscious hippies. 8)
