Briefly passing out after shooting heroin

I've noticed that sometimes after doing a fair amount of heroin--not enough to make me nod, but enough to be an awesome buzz--I pass out moments after banging and then come to anywhere 15-90min later. I imagine my breathing gets laboured & at least once my muscles have gotten crazy stiff. I don't hear of this happening to others, so i'm wondering what's up. It's more annoying than dangerous IMHO because I don't turn blue and it's happened a handful of times. I don't think it's just a minor OD either because sometimes I'm just out for 10 min and come back with a weak high.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
 
you haven't got any other depressants in the mix, bob?

from my experiences of that happening with myself on IV opioids it's usually i've taken too much; a minor (non-fatal) OD. never turned blue myself either ( pale as a ghost however and sweating, so signs of OD), just been noted that breathing was extremely shallow (labouring), dropping in and out of consciousness.

The first time this happened I had taken 50mg diazepam about 24hrs prior and went out for about 3 hours; some of my friends slipped a suboxone under my tongue and I came to. Aside from that experience, I haven't mixed the boy with anything else.

Nice hearing from ya man, it's been a while!
 
50mg of diaz with no tolerance, even after 24 hours, and i'd still encourage to lower the H dose by at least 1/4-1/2 (according to tolerance of both the diazepam and heroin) of what you'd normally use otherwise, as you found out, you'll otherwise find yourself passing out pretty quickly because of how long diazepams half-life can vary person to person. i'm glad the suboxone under the tongue did the trick for you but you know as good as anyone else it's not as reliable as a narcan shot, so please don't get complacent with that method:) (just talking to everyone in general, i know you know this)

from what you've said i can only imagine the dope you're doing is a little better than you think and/or you're dosing higher than you think.
