Chair.
I met her there, on the bridge
of a breakdown,
she revealed to me that she
sees the things I do,
but she doesn't seem
to see them.

Like a silent mafia
holding horrid secrets.
Wondering what they are.
Wondering what it is.
Wondering who lies beneath
the masks we see in
our mirrors.

I'm trying to answer the question, dear,
but you seem to be running away.
I've got a bit of catharsis here
even though no one really hears what I say,
but you bottle it up, and it shakes you,
and sooner or later your liable to explode,
the longer you wait for release,
the more the pressure builds, till you erupt:
the inevitable volcano.

Your eyes, they send
shockwaves through me, and I feel
the energy radiate off of you, and
it warms me, if only I could be
all you need, if I was anything.

I still hear your cries through dreams,
throwing your dark past at me,
calling out to me, and I miss you so,
and this time I will not let one go.

Your special to me,
you make me feel a way I
haven't felt since...

since I made the same mistakes
your boyfriend is making.

I sometimes daydream:
what a pair we'd be, both feeling
like strangers in a stranger land,
both seeing the world through
otherworldly eyes, frightened
as to the reasons why.

You could keep me safe from them.
The ones you don't seem to see,
but I think you do, if only
you could swallow and
digest the memories...

And you'd be an lmost
perfect ending to my story:

I met her there, on the bridge
of a breakdown,
she revealed to me that she
sees the things I do,
and she gave me the
reason to change,
and helped me thwart
their planned future:
the ones she'd never seen
till she lay in bed beside me.

And us,
like a silent mafia
holding horrid secrets.
Wondering what they are.
Wondering what it is.
Wondering who lies beneath
the masks we see in
our mirrors.

Willing to conquer all.
Willing to be free and complete
beside each other and battle
the shadows and ease the fury
that has been forever
brewing beneath.

good stuff man. I like the repetition, it really gives it something extra. this is so true as well.
