Breeze disturbs a pattern of thought,
Dropping a cup which seems to shatter
Even before it hits the floor.

Pieces of china fly
As though poured by some
Unseen force with no particular direction

In several directions until,
Suddenly and without reason,
All stops as quickly as it started

Leaving me to gether up each piece,
Careful not to cause injury
To the pattern of thought
Now occupying my mind.

Breeze breaks my concentration,
Chilling me suddenly
With a warmth I had momentarily forgotten.

Bringing a moisture of a sensual kind
Which seems to excite
With a magnetism unexperienced
By anyone unforgiven by themselves

And who cower behind invisibility,
Naked and almost immediately unmasked
When time repossesses daylight

Opening the endless until
Provoking darkness and sullen concentration,
Breeze eventually follows me to bed.
