Breathing trouble after smoking?

Ever sense I got a new dealer (he's a legal caregiver), I've been having trouble breathing after toke sessions. He said he generally picks up sativa dominant bud. This time I got California Mist. I'm not sure if i've struck gold with the dankest weed i've ever found or if he may be putting something in the MJ? I usually start tripping out around 20 minutes after i'm done smoking and my buzz has already set in, then at random I get really FUCKED UP and cant breath, seems to go on for around half an hour-hr til my high comes down a little. any thoughts on this please and thank you?

Do you know if anyone else smoking this same weed is having any trouble? You could try vaporizing instead of smoking if it is rough on your airways. Maybe you are just getting too high.

Weed itself cannot cause shortness of breath unless your lungs are sensitive to the smoke.

Sativas have a higher propensity to cause anxiety and paranoia, and I've experienced shortness of breath from sativas. It's because I started paying attention to my breathing while high and it made me overanalyze it. So instead of letting my body breathe on its own, I started trying to intervene, and then I felt like I wasn't breathing properly.

I find that sativas can make a person so high that they are not really connected with reality anymore - it makes people very analytical and focus really hard on things. Whereas indicas just make me kind of dopey and slow.

Try reducing your dose.

like you have said he could be lasing it with something like one of the noids i have trouble breathing because of them they seem to repress the respiratory system to the point of shallow breathing no matter which one i use .

My chest has been fucked up ever since my cold-to-sinus-infection-to-bronchitis episode. Smoking makes it worse but I do it anyways because I kind of like my weed. If it doesn't happen unless you smoke my guess would be the breathing trouble is anxiety-related... I mean, it sounds like this new dealer's got weed that gets you unusually high. It's not a bad thing, it just means you need to moderate your usage until you've figured out how to suppress the anxiety.

If it starts happening when you're sober and not smoking anything, consider the possibility of a respiratory infection or illness.

For me it is anxiety/asthma related. I generally have issues breathing after smoking. I believe it is mostly mental, but when I smoked organic weed, I seem better.

I'm suspecting allergy as well, my airways swell up a bit every time I breath in weed but I manage with anti-histamines. Way more people are allergic to cannabis than most people think, it's weird. I know I am.

Yeah like Foreigner said, well I think what they meant is your just getting too high and getting paranoid. To be honest I'm kinda jealous you're getting so high because right now I can't

Salutations 420Toking,

...trouble breathing after toke sessions. ...I get really FUCKED UP and cant breath... ...any thoughts...

Euh... If it's only in the head/mind then you shouldn't be able to spit it out some time later that same day...

But that's me.

I'm in the same category (airways) mostly nasal...also bud that is heavy w/ chlorophyll (leafier green bud) can cause similar problems. Thats one one the biggest reasons to consider vaporizing... They will eventually start being affordable for everyone

Salutations Fire&Water,

...reasons to consider vaporizing... They will eventually start being affordable...

My new toy cost less than 100 $ CAD and its price tag was 55 $ (probably US) the last time i checked. A short piece of aquarium PVC tube is all i needed to adapt it for my own personal needs. I'm liking the renewed cannabic experience so much this little thing is becoming my main driver while the table model has started collecting dust (until i use it to finish the vaping work completely that is)... I call it my Plan-B but it could very well have been my main driver in other circumstances.

It's allowing me to have some satisfying inhalations with substance and taste, in my veranda since it's portable - and that, my friend is something the table vaporizer can't beat even with an extension cord. In other words, despite the risk of combustion i find i won't have to regret my purchase. But that's me...

=D
