Breathe

[Zennie]

Lips and tongue part
creating unanswerable thoughts
scratched over delicate
skin
carving out smooth breaths and
hungry sounds.
Arched back
the silky brush
paints your poetry
across my
still body.
But as tongue and body
meet
as sweat and beauty take hold
we are left with only
hands and
teeth and
tongue and
lips as
morning light
dissolves your
inaudible thoughts.
