The flash of light orders an oyster at Monticello's Outdoor Cafe in the Italian section of France. It is a strange occurrence because it happens every year. As a result, people flock from miles away to gaze at the light with their eyes. Most use both eyes, although a few use one, and even fewer use three. Some say the flash of light sits at Monticello's twenty-four hours a day, yet it is only seen once a year when it flashes and orders oysters. Needless to say it has a very small appetite.
Others, however, claim that the flash of light is indeed not a flash of light but a flash of darkness taking a rest momntarily, giving the illusion of a flash of light. Many have supported this theory and others have attempted to instill it into the heart of the U.S. Congress through various means of blacklisting.
One man from India suggested the light was God, and began a cult around it. When asked about this, God responded, "Oh yes. It is true. I am a flash of light. Ha ha. Now you can all go home and watch reruns of the Larry Sanders Show in pieces. No, seriously......I am the flash of light."
Fundamentalists had a heyday with this one, saying, "That wasnt God. That was Liberace dressed as God, but it certainly wasn't God God, the God we know and love. He fooled you. But not us. Now lets go and kill some homosexuals! Er, I mean, save some homosexuals."
Elizabeth J. the III, currently living in subsidized housing in Bermuda, has a rather interesting theory. "It's a camera flash, baby. He's taking our picture, you know, for preservation."
