Television Breaking Bad

Also interesting how he believes he is naturally a killer, and Jesse is not.

Any of the violence and death that has gone on so far seems to have effected Jesse a lot more than Walt. Walt is also more of an analytical thinker, he's a scientist, while Jesse is a younger kid who does things based on how he feels. His thinking is a lot more emotional.

Plus, Walt already held the door closed while Emilio died, choked Krazy 8 to death with the bike lock, tried to poison Tuco, and he watched and let Jane OD and die.

When Walt heard Combo died he said, "Which one was that?" Walt moves on after someone dies, Jesse use drugs.

I don't think Walt went there knowing Jesse was there. I thought that was only a coincidence.

I thought he went there because he was so disgusted after hearing that news and was going to the neighborhood to find those guys. Was just a coincidence that they were about to duel with Jesse.

That whole scene was crazy! I've been in Jesse's shoes (not in this same situation where I'm hoping to shoot some dudes), but where you're trying to get amped up about something, so you do a line or shot in your car and then you move out ready to roll. That slow anticipatory walk up knowing that this could be a bad idea, but you're gonna fucking do it no matter what. That's what I was imagining that scene and then Walt just plows those guys! Out of nowhere!

The way he said 'Run' after shooting that guy was intense.

RUN!

I have no idea what that phrase means in relation to the show but people seem to be posting it a lot so . . . . meh.

"He's not dying and his wife doesn't hate him, I don't like the direction the show is going. Its too boring, driving around the desert in an RV and killing Mexicans was awesome. Now the show is just blah. I want to see Walt strangle a man to death with a bike lock, shit like that just doesn't go down anymore. The struggle between a good man and the evil hes doing is gone. That internal battle is what made the show interesting. Walt isn't that good man anymore, he's just a crazy bald man who makes meth and his whore wife is in on it now."

O RLY?? what you think of walt now!? No really it was getting kind of slow.. but it just made the last episode so much more dramatic.. I beleive the writers/producers know what their doing.. Walt is a fucking badass.. "Jesse your not a murderer, we are not murderers.." yeah then what happens.. omg I love this show..

I thought Jesse was going to die 3 times in this episode, when the cop/pi was telling walt about "no more half measures" then takes jesse out in the desert, when jesse starts yelling at Gus about the kid and disrespecting him to his face.. then when he was walking towrds the 2 gangsters in the final scene.. i mean theres 2 of them and their gangbangers and hes just hopped on meth.. I was so caught up in it I forgot about walt being on his way to save the day.. I almost jumped up off the couch when I saw that shit.. Runs the fuckers over outta no where and then blasts the one guy in the head.. so hard..

I cant wait for the finale.. You know its gonna be even more explosive than last sunday.. I don't know how but it will..

Breaking Bad really is the best thing on tv.. amc is kicking it out.. only show that really comes close was Six Feet Under.. but that kinda ended shitty and got slow towrds the end..

o dayum, this coming episode is going to the season finale. i didn't even realize it till reading the above post. shiiiit its like i was on a fatty meth binge now im holding up my bag flicking it with my fingers staring at it with a sad face like "one line/bowl/shot left" :(

i dont know why walt does the things he does for jesse. i mean, sure i understand he was there from the start, and he is loyal to him. but why get yourself in deep shit for him? i mean, jesse is just greedy, irrational, and immature. he is going to be a millionaire and he wants to steal meth so he can go solo? WTF?! are you kidding me? you have a job, that makes you a millionaire, and you want more? plus you dont have to do anything sketchy, like make sales. he is in a totally professional and safe work enviroment and he wants more; greedy.

and i will agree walt is no longer than man torn between doing good and evil. but what im really waiting for is for hank to catch on to the whole extra money thing. because though it is lying dormant right now and almost being forgotten (because so much shit goes on in that show.) hank is still DEA, and walt has had his close calls with him finding out; but i think once walt thinks he is invincable and cant get caught. thats when there will be a huge dilema. hanks charactor has just sorta been "there" and he has potential to be a major role in the show.

also there is walt jr. who is still yet to find out.

and i did miss a few episodes, i think i missed 4-8, what happened to the guys with skulls on theyre boots tips? the ones who came from mexico to find walt in the first episode of the season? the ones who in the first episode gave the benz to the poor family and went to the shrine with the picture of walt on it? the ones who rode in the hay stack truck and killed everyone in the back and the driver and blew it up??

Samesies!

I think Walt considers Jesse family at this point or at least I've thought that since Janes dad had that talk in the bar with Walt about the importance of family.

Dude, you missed that! I don't know if I should give it away because that was worth watching and getting caught up with. Those brothers (Tuco's cousins who were going to pick up Walt and Jesse at the being of season 2) are the reason Hank is in the hospital. They were going after Walt, but Gus gave them the green light to go after Hank. They weren't allowed at first because he was DEA and the cartel won't go after people in the DEA.

Anyways, Gus gave them the green light and those guys came after Hank when he was in a parking lot shortly after he had been suspended from the DEA. The scene began with Hank walking back to his car and then when he was in his car he got a phone call with the voice scrambled (it was Gus) that told Hank that he had 1 minute to live as 2 assassins were coming up on him. I'm not even going to attempt to explain the rest of the scene because my words wouldn't do it justice.

One of the dudes died there and one was killed in the hospital (by the white bald guy who works for Gus and knows Saul and Walt).

Gus had given them the greenlight without anyone else in the cartel knowing and afterwards the DEA cracked down hard on them. One of the higher ups who was responsible for the brothers was killed. Gus had orchestrated the events to work out that way.

I really think they started this series a little too slowly but they are making up for it now. Best show on TV at the moment imo.

I think the pacing is perfect. I hate people who have to see violence or extreme drama in every episode or else they get "bored". It is the crappy TV shows that have over the top action in every episode, making them predictable, unbelievable, and ultimately boring with a low production value. Good shows have slow episodes that flesh out character development so you actually have a reason to care about the fate of the characters when there is action. Demanding a large amount of action in every episode is a trend I would like to see stop in U.S. television. It is like our country has ADD or something, people can't enjoy the more subtle insights into the human psyche. No wonder 95% of the shows on TV suck so bad.

i wanted to see jesse get popped. his antics aren't funny like they used to be and he hasn't actually been doing anything independent lately.

Saw the first few minutes that I had missed before, that was a good beginning!

Got to re-watch the rest of the episode too. The ending was still just as badass, though I obviously wasn't nearly as surprised. The camera angle, the noise of the single gun shot, and the way the blood splatters on the ground when Walt shoots that guy in the head just looks so cool (in a TV way ;), that would be horrifying to actually see IRL). The camera shot makes it look as if you were seeing it from Jesse's eyes. Then they do the close-up shot of Walt and he just says that single word, 'run'. Scene gives me chills. :)

YOU try losing everything... fucking EVERYTHING. See how amusing your antics are.

and he hasn't actually been doing anything independent lately.

You must be watching a completely different show, because up until the last thirty seconds of last weeks episode... he was pretty much giving the finger to every single person in his life. Stealing meth, dealing to recovering addicts, poisoning pachukos...

If this were a buddy cop movie, he would be the "loose cannon".

Jesse's no Mel Gibson, but its hard to be as good as Mel Gibson was in Lethal Weapon. I see what you're getting at though.

I can't wait until tonight, kind of pissed its over but I still got goosebumps from the ride. Again! Again! :)
