Television Breaking Bad

Mind wandering is imagination - that's a good thing!

Here's a question though. Have you seen No Country for Old Men? When the character (forgot his name) goes back to the scene of the drug deal gone bad - where he picked up all the cash - why did he go back, in your opinion?

I thought that was the whole point? I figured he wanted to get all the product back because he knows Walt knows?

I think that's pretty far fetched. It'd be impossible to recover all sold product and put it back into a batch and have everything be ticky-boo.

I think Jesse's given up on stealing and selling. I'm pretty sure that deal was to just to find out who killed Combo.

How pissed is jesse gona be when/if he finds out that the teener he just bought from that chics brother is the same product that they are making? If it is the same product, good chance it is.

I was thinking that at one point. I think Jesse went there for the sole purpose of finding out the guys who were most likely involved with killing Combo.

If the meth Jesse did buy was the same stuff he and Walt were making, would it really be as pure? Having never seen meth, I know nothing of cutting it or how it's cut, but I know it does get cut. There was a meth cook on Gangland one time and he was talking about how when he made meth, it was pure at a purple color. He could tell how much cut was in there by the color thereafter. Purple was pure, light purple was close to pure, pink was pretty good, off-white was cut-up, white was really cut.

The way they talk about that blue meth, it seems like a teener could still be really expensive even if it wasn't cut a bit from the original product Jesse and Walt were making.

I like that you are being proactive, Amy... there is no such thing as a bad idea... but apply some critical thinking to the situation ;) . Jesse has been insanely blase about skimming meth... what was the name he used for Walt when he was talking to Brandon and Peter at the meeting... Captain Anal or something? No, his theft of the meth IS going to lead to a much larger conflict in the future, but in the past episode it was a minor plot point.

His reaction to the kid who killed Combo was primarily a preview of how shit will go down once he finds out that Walt watched Jane pull a Jim Morrison. Combo was his boy, but he was flat-out wrecked over Jane's death.

I'm more concerned, however, with Jesse's actions as far as Andrea and her son are concerned. I flashed back to the episode where the junkie chick drops the ATM on the junkie dudes head, and Jesse's biggest concern was the kid. Will he end up screwing Andrea over, getting her hooked on tweak again, just so he can get closer to the vatos that put her brother up to killing Combo?

The black guy wears way too much lipstick, that's all i could think about in that scene where Walt is having diner with him. He's not dying and his wife doesn't hate him, I don't like the direction the show is going. Its too boring, driving around the desert in an RV and killing Mexicans was awesome. Now the show is just blah. I want to see Walt strangle a man to death with a bike lock, shit like that just doesn't go down anymore. The struggle between a good man and the evil hes doing is gone. That internal battle is what made the show interesting. Walt isn't that good man anymore, he's just a crazy bald man who makes meth and his whore wife is in on it now.

Yes, the first season was the best IMO, as it contained a lot of crazy scenes such as trying to dispose of all the bodies with acid, and then cleaning up all the mess, and killing a guy with a lock. Jesse is a very big dumbass for skimming off the top, as has already been pointed out. He has a great job making great money, and there is no need to even worry about distributing the meth. Now he is setting himself up to either be caught and killed by Gus, or caught slinging meth or possession of meth on the streets.

What do we anticipate that Jesse is going to do now that that he knows who killed Combo? Is he going to take revenge on the little kid, or the Mexicans that he is part of?

I think all the Jesse stuff is really just a result of him being a mess. He's probably still confused by everything with Jane and he concluded in one of the first episodes of season 3 that "he's the bad guy".

I don't think he ever stopped thinking that. It's a pretty disheartening feeling if you ever step back and realize you were a negative influence on someones life. He's blaming himself for Jane and Combo's death and he's just continuing to live the role of the bad guy that he set for himself.

Oh fuck! That was crazy!

Does anyone remember how the episode started? I turned it on when Walt Jr. was just finishing driving with Walt.

it was just a montage of the hooker giving blowjobs and scoring / bringing food to the now deceased dealers.

illest ending to an episode yet. marie gettin hank out the hospital wit the groundhog seeing his shadow was hilarious.

skylar: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Money_laundering rofl. so pro.

* guess this means walt jr. going to need to use a different car for the driving test LOL

The intro to that episode was fucking awesome with the hooker in the lot.

That meeting was crazy, btw.

Right when I think Jesse's going to the hospital Walt just earns himself a whole lot of trouble along with a bad ass of the year award. Walt really does care about Jesse and that dynamic makes him continue to do ridiculous things to save Jesse's punk ass.

"Run."

^It seems that he does, although it seems hard to believe he would take such a big risk to save Jesse's life. Now they are both obviously a bit fucked. Also hard to believe he gets there right at the last second while Jesse is about to get himself killed. That's TV, still an amusing end, I laughed when Walt picked up the gun and shot the crawling guy in the head, only to add to Jesse's shock. Nice little touch, that :)

Also interesting how he believes he is naturally a killer, and Jesse is not.

About this episode;

For 1, Jesse used again.

Now think about the dynamic of the kid getting killed. Gus wants Jesse out of the picture. Jesse is very moral and emotional. I thought Gus was moral but not so much anymore. I liked how Jesse stood up to him and then Gus said "No more children" but I don't think he really cared. How to get Jesse out?

Order the hit on the kid, which will get Jesse to go after the 2 guys, and thus get Jesse killed. I don't think Gus is the reasonable, moral businessman I thought he once was.

Also, they weren't in disguise, Walt's car was there and gun was fired (loud noise). If someone saw them or Walt's highly recognizable car; it's gonna get bad, hell, it's already going to get bad. :\
