Television Breaking Bad

Of course he did. His eyes stayed when he fell to the ground. He wasn't exactly daydreaming.
Also, the cops looked at him and continued walking, leaving one standing in front of him. I seriously doubt they would have done anything but have him in cuffs if they thought he was still alive. Remember, the DEA thinks Walt killed Hank and Gomez.

I wanted to see saul.
just had to add, lydia looked like shit with her make up off. I wonder if they added make up to her face to make her look like shit bc it worked lol

Just stop reading now, there might be spoilers.

For Breaking Bad to tie up the entire series in 75 minutes, well, it's no small feat.

They tackled several plot points, deftly, and yet never made the finale feel hurried.

I was able to sit back and relax during it.

Mind you, I (and I don't think anyone else) never saw any of this coming.

I'm happy to see Lydia get poisoned, but we have no sympathy for her, because we don;t see her die. (As an aside, I think some fans found her attractive because she was the only(?) recurring female character that was never linked to a relationship with a man. She wasn't unpleasant looking, but...really?! Desperation of fans of a show that has no real sexuality expressed?

Skyler's face looked so incredibly hardened in the scene between her and Walt. It looked like she had been smoking for about 2 decades.

I know that many people have sided with Walt throughout the show, despite his blatant moral demise. In the end, I think that Walt isn't even really trying to redeem himself towards Jesse. I think he believes that to be impossible. Jesse is unfazed and unmoved by Walt's actions, I think. Todd killed a child in front of him and purposely tortured him (sociopath or not, no excuse). Jesse not killing Walt wasn't Jesse "playing nice" (fuck, he had just murdered the fuck out of someone with his bare hands), he no longer feels sympathy for Walt and the ditch he's dug himself into, while building an empire.

I believe Walt to be dead, also. I don't think it was 100% clear in the end, so that BB fans can speculate.

p.s. I really thought Holly was going to take him out a la Maggie/Mr. Burns.

More spoils.
[spoil]Yeah it didn't seem that clear to me, it was all pretty short that end scene, I kind of feel they rushed it all to get it all finished in the last few episodes, but I guess they wonted it like that, bit of a shame to not know what happens to a bunch of the characters, but I guess most of the main ones are dead, except jessie, skylar, soul, holy, walt jnr, marie and skinny pete and badger and maybe a couple of others. Just seemed a bit too unbelievable in the end with all that 96% pure blue meth and all the killings and cook spots and not really ever getting caught. Anyway still a top show, nearly as good as the wire, but not quite, the wire was more believable with the addicts and shit dope and street dealing and the wire just held my interest more personally.

But both are two of my top shows I guess.[/spoil]

I too am a little sad that it is all over. I rarely watch TV on a regular basis and this is one of the few shows I ever made sure I saw every single week it was on...actually the only series that I watched every single episode. I think they maintained all the way to the end..now I just have no idea what I'm going to watch!

Man, that was a good episode. I'm saddened that it's over but that ambiguous ending kinda left it open to continue.

You guys were right about Walt changing from Heisenberg to something else. That cold methodical killer he portrayed the entire episode was amazing. He doesn't break it except when dealing with Skyler and Jessie. 100% redemption for him in the end. And using Gretchen and Eliot's denouncement of him on TV to set up the payment from them in the future was ingenious.

I'm glad Jessie got to kill Todd in the end too. It wouldn't have felt right otherwise. And letting him know Lydia was dead/dying too was perfect.

I hate to say it guys, but did I call it or what?

Here's my prediction for the final two eps. Walt had to act like this bad guy in the last episode because he knew the cops were listening and wanted to take the blame away from Skylar. He did the same with Jesse when telling him about Jane. But what's really going to happen is he bought that big ass machine gun at the end of last season because he's going to use it to kill Todd's uncle and all his buddies and rescue Jesse, and unfortunately for us fans probably get himself killed in the process.

On a side note, I was really disappointed with Walt Jr. taking his mom's side and calling the cops on his dad after Skylar sliced Walt's hand up with the knife. That was bogus. And I was happy as hell when Walt took Holly to punish Skylar. Man I've always hated her so much. I don't know why. She just seems like such a bitch and never wants to stand by her man.
Don't worry, Walt will save him soon enough with that big machine gun. Well that's my prediction anyhow.
I think Walt buying that m60 points towards him going out in a blaze of glory.

P.S. I had a feeling after rescuing Jesse that he would give Jesse the option of killing him and hand over his gun to him and tell Jesse to do it because that's what he's wanted all along, but I did not see Jesse flipping the switch on him and telling Walt no that's what Walt wants and then Walt finally saying yes. I also didn't see the thing with Gretchen and what's his name going down like that. That was genius. Although who knows if he can actually trust those two grimy fucks. Lol. Anyhow great ending to a great show. Totally delivered, I wasn't disappointed at all.

Yes.

Flynn is a bitch, he sticks by Walt the entire time, then one thing happens and he hates him? So stupid, in that scene it was pretty clear that Walt was very shaken up by Hank's death and wasn't exactly responsible for it, yet all the sudden Flynn flips on him. I bet its because he always "respected" Hank more in certain respects, but what a bitch, he didn't even want to hear the explanation.

Also Todd is like the fucking epitome of a sociopath, showing emotion's/being kind one moment then blowing away a child like nothing. Oh well....at least hes polite! Always using sir/mam, calling Walt Mr. White/etc. Quite well mannered coming from a family of Neo Nazi's, though Uncle Jack didn't seem extravagantly terrible either...for a Neo Nazi that is!

"F-f-fuckk woooo"

Shut the fuck up Walter Jr or Flynn or whatever the fuck your name is. Your dad is a bad ass and did this shit all for your selfish little ass.

Pussy.

Haha i was thinking that

There's some kids that are impressed by the cops, some kids are impressed by the bad guys....If I found out my dad was Heisenberg when I was 16, I would think it was the coolest thing in the world! I definitely wouldn't pass up $100,000!

Breaking Bad is a purely fictional TV show with an overtly unrealistic, fantastic plot....a complete fairy tale. The characters however, are very compelling and realistic, and you can genuinely empathize with the emotional struggles and inner conflicts that they go through....That's what makes the show so great. It can go from drama to comedy to action/adventure in a single episode. It has a little bit of everything and the viewer never knows what the next scene will bring. It lulls you into a false sense of security with something lighthearted, and then drops a bomb on you time and time again!

It does contain gratuitous, cartoon-like violence at times that's just there for pure entertainment, like any gangster/crime or action/thriller type movie or show. People root for people to die all the time in the context of TV and movies, that's just part of the fun of it! That's why I find it funny that there's a select few posters in this thread getting on their "moral high horse" and passing judgment on the people who are hoping that certain characters get killed off or "take the money and run" etc. It's a fucking TV show! It's just so naïve, immature and IDK.....fucking pretentious....I abhor people who think they're just "so enlightened" and nitpick every little thing that everyone else does...I've spent years of my life around people like this and the only people who can stand them are the other people with the exact same stick up their ass, or as Walter White said a few episodes ago in the flashback scene in the desert, "So and so has 'bug up his butt' and he's insisting that I stay late!"

From now on I'll make sure that I only identify with and root for the fictional characters that conduct themselves in the most politically correct, morally upright manner that mirrors how everyone should live day to day in real life!

When I watch a slasher film like a Friday the 13th and the other people in the room with me drinking beer all cheer when an asshole character gets killed, I'm gonna push the non-prescription, unnecessary frames back onto the bridge of my nose and say, "How can you guys cheer for someone dying?!"..."Nobody deserves to die!"...."Cheering for people who die in movies is disrespectful to the people who die from senseless violence everyday in real life!"....Then, I'll go in my bedroom, fire up my MacBook and put on a jazz-fusion record(an actual vinyl record) by some band nobody's ever heard of before and lament how ignorant everyone is....:|

That conan interview was hillarious. New plot wallter white moves away and turns out breaking bad was the preuel to malcom in the middle. When this show first came on i was hooked bc cranston really is a great actor.

You don't have to be unprincipled to be on Team Walter.

I just want to say, I agree with a lot of what you say here. Flynn's latest babble-fest was just "Flynn being Flynn" for the most part. He has a very underdeveloped, "simple" sense of right and wrong throughout the series that I personally find annoying. Actually, it's his outbursts where he refuses to listen and just yells ,"No! No! You lied!" and shit like that....It's like nails on a chalk board!

Maybe I was just hoping that in 60+ episodes his character would have matured and evolved a little bit. That outburst in the principal's office was just the last straw. He could have hated his Dad quietly and refused to speak to him, but to completely feed him to the wolves like that without letting him make his point....

I'm still pissed at Flynn four days later and he doesn't even exist...that's fucking quality programming!

I'm not of the mind that only 3 strike felons hate Flynn and think Jesse throwing money out the window screwed everything up. Jesse could have moved to Costa Rica and adopted ten Brock look-alikes, and been sipping on Frescos in a mansion for the rest of his life.

I can't believe only two days until the end of Breaking Bad... :\ This has been a show I've looked forward to every year. I'm going to feel a bit empty without it.

I'd like to also go on record as saying that I don't understand the constant fawning over Lydia in this thread.

Yeah I don't either. She's an okay looking woman who is a total neurotic weirdo.. Ha.

I find that hot.

Hard to see it go...but damn. That was one of the most satisfying series finales ive seen.
Yep. Exactly.

Damn. Is anybody else finding it hard to sleep tonight? Still can't believe that five years of watching breaking bad have finally come to an end. Just replaying things in my head, especially the last few episodes. Did you guys ever think if you were one of the writers, things you would've done differently on the show?
