She strolled through the door today more beautiful than ever
Just to say what's up and see what my plans were
So we decided to finish our tasks for the day and meet up
Back here at the office around 5:30

So she strolls in again
More beautiful than the last time
A smile rolls across my face
One I can't hold back for anything

Just her presence makes my heart race
My best friend, the only on who knows me
Knows who I truly am
Back in my life, hopefully to stay.

We were short on cash
So we settled for a 40 a piece
And some gas in her car
And we started driving

No destination, no conversation
It wasn't needed
Just the knowledge we were in a foot of eachother
And it was just the two of us again.

We drove for about an hour
Through back roads to nowhere
Where we wanted to be
Where it's just us

I wish I knew more of how she felt
And where she wants this to go
Not back to where it was
I'll never go back to that

But a new beginning
A fresh start
I could go for that
I would like to try

It's been awhile, and alot has changed
I have changed
I wonder what it would be like
But for now, we're just friends

Best friends, and ex-lovers
Who knows what will happen
She said it earlier
When we spoke of her and Cali

So I guess we'll see
The saga will continue
But as I said with a fresh start
"Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end".

If only she knew
Knew how I still cared for her
Knew how I still loved her
Maybe one day she will

And maybe one day she'll love me again
The way she used to
But I'll see it this time
And embrace it, to make it whole.

I never meant to break her heart................and never will again.

if theres one thing i love being able to do, its not having anything or anywhere to be at all and just walking and wondering. just shareing each others presence. i love doing that with my best friend. hes someone who doesnt have to say anything but you know you both can share company and still enjoy the quiet
