Brain zaps are common with mdma abuse. Im assuming you posted this in the mdma forum because this happened after mdma(or any serotonergic drug)?
I abused mdma pretty good, 2-4 times a month, 200-400mg dose for a few months. Brain zaps happen but they go away, I find they happen under stress. Same with HPPD. I used a lot of psychedelics as well and had/have pretty good HPPD (very much so from 2cb). These symptoms become very prominent under times of stress. To alleviate the brain zaps and hppd one must alleviate the stress. I found working out, eating healthy and absent from said drugs has been amazing.
However, when I am under heavy stress from work, family or whatever, I find my brain zaps and hppd to come back, its pretty crazy. This is something I just go with because I accept my life choices.
Get healthy! Exercise, eat well and no more drugs, you will feel better.
