Brain zaps

So last week i hit it hard and done 4 days in a row of md and the 5th was a candy flip since the candy flip and a little during it (been 2 days since so I'm still recovering in general ) I've experienced what feels like a burst of electric through my brain and cns. After reading a little online I found that this can happen with ssri's as well as other antidepressants. What I want to know if anyone else has experienced this from doing the same or having heavy, long sesh's as well ? I must also mention that it seems to be at random and not much correlation (or at least to me it doesn't seem so)

Yes excessive use of MDxx compounds can cause "electrical sensations in the brain" that are commonly referred to as brain zaps. They will fade over the days and are a sign of over use. The one time i experience them was when i first discovered rolling and tried to do a lot twice in one weekend.

I would cut back and look into LTD (long term comedown) among all other reasons to avoid using MDxx compounds more then once a month. You really risk self injury if not just losing the ability to enjoy the experience.

I've got the brain zaps after doing MDMA 5 days straight at a festival and so did a few of my friends.
( who have reported that phenomena more than once from overdoing it).
It should subside after time on it's own but it's pretty big sign that you have done entirely too much drugs and need a long break from them!!!
I do not recommend MDMA more than once every 2 months.
If I'm at a 5 day festival nowadays, I roll on MDMA 2 of the days and trip 2 of the days and have a long break from drugs before and after the festival.

Yeah guys thanks very much that eases my mind somewhat , it was only a couple of weeks ago that I first discovered the pleasures of md and went a bit mad with it a long break I definitely needed . Is there anything I can do to speed up recovery besides not using any more mdxx compounds for a couple of months?

In my experience, the brain zaps you get when withdrawing from benzos is seizure territory. Thankfully, such brain zaps are significantly different to those caused by MDMA.

I experienced this a couple weeks ago from excessive use in one night, I stupidly did over gram in a night. I didn't get the zaps until 2-3 days after and they went away about 4 days later. Had a tough recovery but I took 5-htp and green tea extract for a week or so and other supplements and ate a lot of fruit and I feel much better now. And like you said don't do any more mdxx compounds and get exercise!

Interesting fact: I got them once when I took hawaïan baby woodrose seeds.

1g of a-PvP in 48h brainzapped the hell out of me for the next couple days. Was like a friggin' internal thunderstorm! Glad it didn't last longer, stuff felt like death knocking on the door =D

I've had brain zaps from abusing serotonin releasers a number of times. The first time was with MDMA, I did it like 5 of 7 days in a week (I think that was it), and I became really depressed for about a month, and during that depression I had brain zaps. They're such a weird feeling. They seemed to come at random, and they were quite distracting sometimes, and coupled with the depression, it made me feel really bad and a little scared, especially since it lasted so long. I felt fine after that month though, no more brain zaps or depression.

I also abused AMT, which is a serotonin releaser as well, quite heavily over a period of 2 years. Whenever I'd do it 3 days in a row or more, the first 2 days off I would have intense brain zaps. Not as much depression as with MDMA, but the brain zaps were way more intense, one time I was walking and almost fell over because I got like 10 in a row. With the AMT, I would also have sleep paralysis followed by incredibly lucid dreams that were usually about armageddon or me being trapped in a different reality. Really weird stuff. With AMT the brain zaps went away much more quickly than when I abused MDMA.

Again that made me feel more at ease . If I'm going to be honest here last night when I was drunk I ended up having a few bumps of md and today I'm feeling amazing and haven't experienced the zaps at all . I feel quite myself again i clearly have just been jammy on this one but i will be laying of it because now that its no longer happening i don't want to cause it start again :) , maybe it's to do with up and down regulation of the serotoningenic receptors and md sometimes resulting in down regulation of the receptor for a period of time and last night happened to return my receptors back to normal (obviously my serotonin is somewhat drained still ) but a big thank you to everyone who replied your really helped me keep my shit together there last few days

I'm glad you feel better, but I seriously advise to take a good break from MDMA or other serotonin releasers... it's not sustainable and the longer you go on the bigger the chance of causing semi long-term consequences.
