im starting to get quite worried because im getting dizzy spells that last only a second or 2 were my eyes would jolt. Im not sure what has caused it because the past weekend i had lots of different substances :\

anyone ever experience this or have any idea if it will lead to something more dangerous? (i know you are not Doctors and if you are you would need to examine me but please share your advice!)

what substances did you take? it could be anything. are you experiencing a mild electric shock through your brain when this happens? when i had brain zaps i felt dizzy, my eyes would jolt a bit. also abusing stims can leads to dizzy spells. wouldn't worry yourself about it too much, give it time and it should go. brains are quite good at repairing over time. wouldn't have thought it will lead to anything more dangerous... get lots of sleep and remain healthy, eat well, exercise, avoid all drugs for awhile. ive had all kinds of shitty dodgy after effects which worried me at first, but they usually go within a few days.

but obviously if it doesn't go then see a doctor.

mainly was taking mdma but i had coke, speed, weed, booze and diazipam over the period of two days. they didnt worry me much but they started to get more frequent but ill rest lots and eat as well as i can. can exercise much because of a broken ankle.

hypnic or hypnagogic jerk is an involuntary myoclonic twitch which occurs during hypnagogia, just as the subject is beginning to fall asleep. Physically, hypnic jerks resemble the "jump" made when a person is startled.[1]

Often accompanied by a falling sensation,[2] it is commonly caused by irregular sleep schedules.[3]

that perfectly explains the feeling. it should hopefully stop within a day or two. they were freaking me out for a while lol. i thought i was going to have an epileptic fit

yeah ive had that plenty of times, sleep paralysis as well. its not very nice, its happened quite violently quite a few times, and i couldn't awaken from it

oh fuck i had that back when i used to take drone a lot. nightmares were i physically couldnt move my body when i was sleeping

same here, heavy nights of drone and booze.

avoid mixing all those drugs together in the future though mate, its a disaster waiting to happen. especially brain zaps, you dont want those

what typically causes you to be dizzy is a lack of zinc i think...but i dont know how thats gonna help if u got so much going on

i thought dizzyness was blood pressure/strain on heart related? could be a number of things i guess

if only used it twice. that time was simply to cushion my comedown from the day before but a few hours later i began taking mdma again anyway. very stupid idea mixing uppers with downers. dunno why i did that tbh

i know man i can only recall 2 times when iv mixed lots of different drugs together each time i was in such a differnt state of mind i didnt even consider the risks involved. i guess thats how people die. i should know better seeing as i know people who have died from drug cocktails:\

Taking all those drugs within a 48 hour period could have caused the dizziness. Not sleeping well (as I'm willing to bet money you didn't after taking all those drugs) can also cause dizziness. Dizziness can also be caused by low blood pressure and numerous other things.

There is nothing we can do here but speculate. Go to your doctor if the issue persists. :)

Brain 'shivering' & 'whooshing' sound in head, not from antidep/benzo WD

Sorry to make a thread guys, hope this is the right sub-forum, have read Bluelight for years but only just signed up. Thankyou so much for reading.

Medical info is

current supplements/meds -

Glucosamine 1500mg/day
'Ethical Nutrients' Zinc 20mg & Vit C 1500mg/day
'Swiss' Mens Multivitamin 1/day
'Bioceuticals' Chelated Magnesium 300mg with all the Vit B's once/day

Basically for the last year I have had this strange feeling in my head, and I'm just really getting worried because it's been getting much worse recently. It's hard to explain but some examples would be "like my brain is being microwaved", "brain is shivering/WANTS to shiver" and if i "let" it shiver then i get a massive blood-whooshing feeling/sound near the back of my head. Have always been able to make the whooshing blood feeling/sound appear by kind of closing my eyes tightly and..

I'm starting to really freak out about this feeling, it feels like my brain WANTS to have a seizure. also seems that staring at computer or tv screens, or talking on mobile, makes it far worse.

Has anyone else suffered from this or know what might be causing it? and help is GREATLY appreciated, as i know everyone has their own problems and cant all be wasting time dealing with mine.
Thankyou again. If you need more info let me know. Peace.

I'm going to close this thread as nobody is going to be able to diagnose without a) seeing you and examining you, b) having your medical history in front of us, and c) being qualified medical practitioners.

Please see a Doctor as soon as possible.

Chronic Brain Zaps?

Since I was a little kid, I would from time to time, usually when moving my head really fast for whatever reason, dealt with what could only be described as brain zaps. I've heard people complain about these from either too much of a certain type of medicine and also from benzo withdrawal but never a chronic problem. I can honesly say I can't even remember the last time I had one...that's how infrequent they are, but they are still present from time to time. It's always just one, and usually always associated with a quick movement of the head but sometimes just for no reason at all. Is there any scientific reason for these? And does anyone else have this problem not being associated with any drug use?

I've had the normal amount of check ups the average person would have I'd say...never had any issues with my brain at all...

I'm the same way.. get them when loud noises catch me off guard some times, too. Feels/'sounds' like a hard clunk inside the head... always wondered what's going on.

Is that when you shake/jerk your head really quickly for a split second uncontrolably then your like why the fuck did i just do that? If thats what they are ive got them and i dont remember how long ive been getting them. Usually get them daily or something and i havent been on any prescription drugs or anything and dont know why i get them but just do. Oh well they dont seem to harm me so its cool.
