Brain Zaps and 5HTP

So i have 2 questions and decided to put them both in 1 thread :)

Regarding the 5HTP. As someone who has moderately used MDMA for about 2 months.. How long should i be taking 5HTP for? I don't plan on using for a while so there will be no rolls in between


Now on to the brain zaps.. At night when i've been trying to sleep i've been getting these brain zaps/leg jerking just as i'm amount to doze off. When im lying down everything is fine it only happens as im about to fall asleep. It's really weird cuz i get a zap/leg jerk n it prevents me from falling asleep.. It hasnt happend while rolling or the day after.. usually happens 2 days later . I've stopped now for about 4 days and still getting them. But ive only been taking 5HTP since last night, so does this have anything to do with serotonin depletion? And is there anything to take that can reduce this?
 
I would suggest taking the 5-htp for as long as you see fit, perhaps doing a week on/week off or two days on/one day off schedule. IMO it's not a good idea to take it everyday, or it could change up your brain chemistry as to not produce as much serotonin on it's own. Ideally, your rolls should be spaced out by 2-3 months each.

Brain zaps after 2 months of 'moderate use'? Interesting..what do you consider moderate use? 4 days is really nothing. The depression/MDMA abuse symptoms get the worst about a week after the last roll.
 
No i didn't mean 4 days of use, i meant 4 days since the last time i rolled. i've rolled way more then that in the past 2 months.

I have no other symptoms really other then brain zaps, feeling always extremely tired and have deep dark circles under my eyes. anyone else get those too and know how to reduce them? i heard cucumber slices/tea bags will reduce them

How often in the last 2 months have you been rolling?? (be truthful...trust me you probably wouldnt even believe if I told you my past stories...)

Brain zaps are very terrible, and you really need to stop for a while.

Also, 5-htp is nothing but pure, bullshit.

Your receptors are already recoving from losing all the seratonin from mdma, adding more would neglect the 5-htp altogether.

Somewhat like people who are on SSRIs, and rolling doesn't do jack shit while on them because the way your receptors are working and recovering.

Not trying to lecture, but as incredible as mdma is (trust me i know), be prepared for an insane amount of problems after doing it often (and by often, I mean more than 1 every 3 months depending on how much your doing)

The fact that your gettting brainzaps is very serious, and you should stop, and throw that useless piece of shit 5-htp away. I know im gunna get so flamed for this, but I dont care its the truth 5-htp is a scam and joke.

But hey, all the e-tarded ravers will tell you different. And you know, Im sure they know exactly what they are talking about...right?

It's cool if you don't like 5-htp, you know, it just might not be your thang. Try not to sound factual when it's just your opinion. 5-htp isn't going to magically undo loads of MDMA abuse, but it certainly helps. It's a direct precursor to serotonin...what else needs be said?

And OP, I was just sayin' 4 days OFF of ecstasy isn't much at all. Say, like, with weed, 4 days could make a big dent in your tolerance. With MDMA, it takes much longer. It heavily alters your brain chemistry. Serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine, oxytocin...play with all these chemicals too much and shit's gonna be a lil out o' whack. The dark circles are a good sign you aren't getting adequate rest/healthy diet.


Seriously though, brain zaps ain't no joke. I mean fuck...BRAIN ZAPS. It just sounds awful. Lay off the beans man, you have your whole life to roll balls. Try some weed, or LSD. <3
 
I have discontinued the use already, and don't plan on using until next summer.


As for the brain zaps, is it what i am describing? I read some other threads regarding them and they seem much more severe.. these zaps/jolts dont affect me at all other then when i am trying to sleep.. why is it that it only happens as im about to drift off to sleep? And if i get up and watch tv or something they are gone, i find this very weird and annoying. But anyways its been 8 days since i last rolled and they have pretty much gone.. are the zaps from serotonin depletion?
