I suffered a major brain injury in August, which was in the middle of my 6 month break. The last time I dropped was last April...almost a yr ago. I'm scared to drop now cause my injury. I do know MDMA puts your brain thru alot, and I remember how my head felt the day after...E tarded...so I just dont want to make my injury worse. its been 7 months since I hit my head, I'm slowly getting better but I still do show some symptoms....headaches, ringing in ears (sometimes), cant lift heavy stuff , still cant listen to metal or rock, stuff like that. But I can listen to trance as loud as I want with the bass as high I want with no problems. I have been smoking weed since I hit my head...I did take a break cause the dr said weed and a brain injury is bad. I smoke because I cant sleep sometimes and for my IC pain. its the best medicine lol the break is over...I can smoke weed no problem and I can drink no problem. but I am still scared to drop.....I need your thoughts, options and advice on this. do u think I should wait a lil longer or just give it a try? the first time I drop I'm planning on only taking a quarter to half a pill...just to see how it feels. ne thing will help...thanx!! much love <3

I'm not a doctor, but I'm sure any doctor would tell you to abstain. You said yourself your still recovering, so even if it doesn't kill you it will probably prolong your recovery time. Not to mention the comedown would probably be worse as well. Idk, maybe you might be fine but I wouldn't risk it. I think even drinking and smoking is risky while still in recovery. Really, you have nothing to lose by waiting.. maybe just roll harder the next time you do?

The brain is a complex system. I would really wait as long as you can before subjecting it to any stress. If you drop now you might end up causing other problems. Just wait another year or until your doctor gives you a go ahead that your brain is mostly healed. Don't want to tell you how to live your life but you sometimes have to think to the future and not right now.

I'm sorry to hear about your injury! :(
I can imagine how terrible it would feel to be too scared to roll.
I think you should just wait it out until you are 100% sure your brain is recovered.

If you're looking for a good time, just smoke some weed and go to a rave with buddies!
Sure, you won't have the intimacy with random others that you normally would have but you can still dance and have a great time!

One thing I learned from rolling was how to step out of my comfort zone and dance the way I felt and not care what other people thought about my dancing because in the end, everyone just wants to have a good time at the rave anyway!

I hope you recover soon so you can have a blast!
But until then, try partying just on weed and do the same things!
You might find that the experience is just as enjoyable.

You might notice how weird people are acting since you aren't on MDMA but that is a unique experience and since you can relate to what they are feeling, it could give you a whole new understanding of others that you didn't have before.

It's worth a try :)

Get well soon!

thanx for the input you guys!! I was thinking about waiting...but I got the itch...but I dont wanna risk my mental health for one good night...its not worth it!! yeah....I have no problem being around peeps that are rolling....like you said..I can relate....same with going out and drinking...I can be the DD and have just as much fun....doesnt matter to me!! thanx again!! I just dont wanna fuck up my already recovering brain....some times I do get inpatient waiting but than I think about the greater scheme of things hehe much love <3

Well a few years ago the all-loving friendly cops round here whacked me repeatedly on the head with a walkie-talkie and about 2 weeks later I was in hospital having treatment to relieve the pressure of blood that had built up.
Anyway about 3 weeks later I rolled, cautiously.
The roll was ok but at one stage I fell asleep, and then woke up and vomited.
Looking back it was probably not a good idea to roll.
I had CAT, MRI scans and all kinds of tests subsequently in an attempt to sue the boys in blue, but none of them revealed any significant damage.

oh wow! how did ur head feel afterwards? did it made your injury worse? luckily i never had to have ne thing like relieving the blood.....but i did have a few cat scans and x rays...wat symtpoms did u have?

Well during benzo withdrawal, practically a two year long brain injury if you want to call it that, I did e and it fucked me up very bad for a long time. Any time the brain is going through injury or recovery in some form, it is best to avoid these types of drugs all together. What happened to your brain if you don't mind me asking?
