i had no idea what nbt was. thanks for clearing that up.

i would've asked, but ali would've just posted some smart ass shit to try and make me feel dumb, and i already know i'm dumb.

In that case, haven't they already had their 15 minutes?

Moving along.. Let me see what pitchfork says I'll like for the week now./hip

^ cooler and bigger inside than i expected it to be. it's big enough to have some vibrancy and a sense of occasion but small enough to seem intimate. i like the space.

alasdair

Errr

Blissfields
Bmuff Sevens
Slinky
Ram (cannot wait for that 1 as sub focus playing)
hardcore heaven awards

And I hope to god our marquee gets booked for a few more festivals....

^^^the only show i saw was MMJ, and it was awesome.

got two nights of panic next weekend. i'm not really that excited. i've kind of lost interest in them. but it'll be a good time.

MMJ always puts it down, very underrated band
They played late night at Bonnaroo one year for like 6 hours while it poured rain all night

It was pretty incredible
I think that's the year Metallica was there too and my girl and I skipped that to go party in the camp grounds and came back later for My Morning Jacket

I wanna do Bonnaroo this year again maybe
The headliners aren't too good, Tom Petty being the highlight since I seen him there for my first fest in 06 and I guess half of Paul McCartney's set wouldn't be too bad just to have the evidence that I at least seen one Beatle in my life time...

But there are a lot of other good bands that I'd like to see and some I've already seen 3 or 4 times
So I have no clue yet or not, I never have planned ahead much before going back to Tennessee, it's always like hey Bonnaroo is in two weeks let's get some cheap tickets off craigslist and go because fuck paying all dem monies from off the site, I've always usually only paid half or even cheaper for a ticket

Shit, I've seen hippie girls with condensed dreads and massive harry legs and pits, walking slowly down the line of cars waiting to get in, spare some change or a dollar?
You have to think, there are over 100k ppl, you walk down past 150 cars or so and you got your miracle to the show

Guess that's how that song originated

Cum to forecastle fest, brother bill. i just got my late night cheese ticket for the palace show today.

i'm gonna get brah as fuck this weekend at widespread. haven't seen them in almost 4 years.

i can't wait to beat wooks down and blackout and be awful.

The next couple months are gonna be busy for me: Maps and Atlases (w/ Young Man), Baths (w/ Houses and D33J), Tallest Man on Earth (w/ Strand of Oaks), Rev. Horton Heat, The Cave Singers (w/ Mount Moriah and Jesse Sykes), The Uncluded [Aesop Rock w/ Kimya Dawson], VietNam (w/ Black Pus and Plack Blague), They Might be Giants, and Dick Dale.

so far i am interested in like 5 of these bands, but more will be added soon. first time shipping up to asheville and i am kind of excited, don't want it to be freezing but it's literally like 6 months away, i'm sure i'll be more excited once it rolls around. i listened to a NIN record for the first time in like 5 years today, doesn't sound too bad 20 years out.

ken, i'm really good at asheville, if you have any questions.

first and foremost, book your hotel now. they go quick.

make sure you get something downtown, because all of those venues are in town and walking distance from each other.

unless you wanna ball it out in a cabin, but if you go that route you'll need to get a driver service which will run you like $100 per night.

i've done both, and i prefer staying downtown near all the action.

thats really adorable you think we'll be staying in a hotel

or in a cabin for that matter

we're going to use the internet and rent an apartment or a house from a stranger (depending on how many of us there are) who we may possibly murder/get murdered by, never know, it's a tiny ass hippie town in the middle of fucking nowhere. Pander Bear has a sober lawyer friend who is coming, and he has to drive the whole time because of sobriety and because Pander has a bench warrant from a super speeder ticket coming back from Jeopardy!. Braxton won't be allowed to drive either. I would book the airbnb now but I just got this fat check from the IRS yesterday and we're going to get tattoos.
