I just like spending time with us better :-P

I'm trying to download it, but I can't connect to the client right now, which is odd :\ At any rate, I'll let you know the next time I feel like reenacting my sophomore year at college again.

Black Lips last night and Atmosphere + Blueprint (local rapper who made the national spotlight via RJD2) tonight for 4/20!!

always lots of good concerts on 4/20 :)

Ah, Blueprint is awesome. 1988 is such a good record. Along with Atmosphere, that should be a killer show.

Just bought tickets to Bonnaroo! Never been to a festival before, but I couldn't pass up the chance given this year's line-up.

Joe Pug was great, Strand of Oaks was surprisingly amazing, TVOTR (R.I.P. Gerard) was a religious experience as always.

Going to Trentemoller tomorrow night and IAMDONALD on May 13th! :D

I just won tickets to
They Might Be Giants
and
The Hold Steady
not on the same bill though

Also might check out Buckethead soon.

Saw the Dandy Warhols on Tuesday night. The little lady called it best when she turned to me and said that they were tight, like a well oiled music machine. Played all their hits and some of the new album. Best concert I have been to for a while. One highlight for me was seeing that the impossibly beautiful Courtney Taylor was at last looking bloated and old.

Two weeks ago: Animal Collective in Amsterdam :D

Next month: Worldwide Festival (Flying Lotus, Mount Kimbie, Kode9, James Blake, etc.)

Yeah, I saw MBD when they played Red of Tooth and Who Will Survive back to back. Amaaaazing show. T

I really wish I had gotten to see that tour. :(

I saw Chad Vangaalen last night in Brooklyn. I've been listening to him for years but this is the first time I've been able to catch him live. It was.. interesting. I really love everything he does, he's an amazing solo artist. Something about playing with a band takes away from the magic. But it is a lot of fun to watch him make noise on stage. His homemade guitar is quite bizarre. I was right at the front of the stage and I think that unfortunately took away part of my ability to hear him singing because of my placement, but it was still a fun show, and rather personal from that perspective. I talked with them during their sound check and cracked jokes in between songs with them.
I would much prefer to see him solo, perhaps in the future.. It was still a wonderful time. I got his setlist :) Which basically just has a bunch of song titles written on them though a majority of the show was them playing songs by request from the audience.

George Clinton last weekend. (There was a mother. It was not turned out. We turned it out.)
Big Boi last night.
Arcade Fire w/ Mumford and Sons, Beirut and the Vaccines on Thursday.
Flaming Lips with Dinosaur Jr on Friday.

Might be able to swing discount tickets to Morrissey/Lou Reed/Stooges/Patti Smith (I'd easily pay fo that lineup, but went to the festival last year and it was so badly organised I vowed never to go back, even if 4 of my heroes are playing....)
