This post is so full of win I don't know where to start. I'm super jealous, dude.

I recently saw (different days, obviously):

The Elephant 6 Holiday Surprise Tour
The Love Language with Telekinesis
The Drive-By Truckers
The Black Keys
Tapes 'n Tapes
Dr. Dog
Murder By Death w/ The Builders and the Butchers

Upcoming:

O'Death =D

That's a fine list you have as well, sir!

I'd love to see the Truckers again (listening to the new live EP now actually). The last time I saw Murder by Death was a couple of years ago in Chicago. They played Who Will Survive and Red of Tooth in their entirety. I want to see them again but there's no way they could top that imo. :)

Yeah, I saw MBD when they played Red of Tooth and Who Will Survive back to back. Amaaaazing show. They played a lot of Good Morning, Magpie when I last saw them, and even though I didn't think the album was that great, it sounded awesome live.

I saw them when they came to Omaha, Nebraska. Excellent show. I'm also gonna see Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit a little later.

nice.

his new album is great.

honestly, his divorce from shonna was probably the best thing to happen to the truckers and him. i really dig his solo stuff and think the truckers are back on track without him. not that he wasn't good with them, i just think both are better off apart.

Saw The War on Drugs tonight with Destroyer headlining.
The War On Drugs must be the most underrated band in my opinion. I love them, but seeing them live really showed just how awesome they are at what they do. Looking forward to seeing a show of them when they are the head liners just so I can hear more.
New Destroyer songs also were really brought to life live.

Last two gigs I went to were Toro y Moi and Sasha.

The Toro gig was just before his new album was released. Though it leaked pretty much that day, so I got to listen to it a couple of times before the gig. He played way too much new stuff for me, however the new stuff was perhaps more suited to a live band setup. Though the few times he did play first album material, it was more upbeat and incorporated the live band setup quite well. So I'm still a little confused as to why he didn't play more of it.

Sasha was fun. I got pretty drunk and had a good dance towards the end.

Coming up: Dandy Warhols, Odd Future, Bat for Lashes. Also, my brother and I are considering getting Bob Dylan (supported by Paul Kelly) tickets.

Wye Oak was sold out the other night. I didn't think they were quite there yet. Bummed I didn't see the show but glad to see they are gaining steam.

TV on the Radio tonight!
Joe Pug/Strand of Oak Monday!

look Chickenshit, we called you and you never called us back. We were also on acid, but that's besides the point! :p we would have gone with you if we knew what was happening. the sweetwater fest looked alright.

i texted with pander on friday night and he was too scared of the big scary storm to come out.

you called me on saturday night and like you said, you were on acid and i wasn't. case closed. i hate people on acid when i'm not on it too.

you cussed and yelled at me though. it was pretty funny.

yes but we weren't on sunday.

tonight is lady gaga and i wish i was going :(

Primus coming to the Filmore in Miami on June 4. Holy shit. My favorite band ever. I never thought I would get the opportunity to see them live.

They are on tour around the U.S., if you are a fan, I recommend snatching them tickets fast. Jay Lane is the drummer. I was kind of hoping it would be "Herb", but it is still better than "Brain", who I find to be quite overrated.
