Broken%20Social%20Scene.jpg

I'm seeing Broken Social Scene and The Sea and Cake on 9/21 at the Calvin Theatre in Northampton. My friend's dad gave her two tickets for her birthday. Score.

I'm seeing Coheed & Cambria, The Dear Hunter, and Manchester Orchestra this Saturday in Providence - that is, unless Hurricane Earl decides to blow by and turn my plans to shit.

Once I get back to Chicago, I'm seeing Klaxons on Sep. 30 and Gorillaz on Oct. 16th. I also REALLY want to see Massive Attack on Oct 15th, but a) I'd need to find some more money, and b) I'd have to change my schedule so I don't have a Friday lab, 'cause I would end up getting to the show late if I had to wait 'till I got out of my fucking bio lab.

Flaming Lips doing The Soft Bulletin, with Dinosaur Jr in support doing Bug. 1 July 2011 :)

I would kill to see Dinosaur Jr.

Lets see here...upcoming shows:

Primus Oct 6.

Moog Fest Halloween weekened: Devo, The Disco Biscuits, Thievery Corporation, Massive Attack, bonobo.....

And then Finally the Pinnacle Nov. 8: Roger Waters performing the Wall live

The Vaselines 22nd September

With fellow bluelighter whoremoaning. :)

I was at Bestival this weekend and had a fucking blast. Still recovering from a 2c-i/amt/stella binge, but it was most definitely worth it. :P

Pleasantly surprised by The XX performance as well. Didn't rate them much before I went, but they won me over by the end of their set.

I get to see THE Ink and Dagger this Friday at a warehouse in LA with another favorite band of mine, DANGERS...

FYF was fucking awesome, got to see Deadman's Bones and SLEEP, so much headbanging during that set \m/

Failures is also playing this weekend in Long Beach.

All in all, I guess I can say I'm a pretty happy girl =)

End of the Road Festival: Wilco (yay), New Pornographers (goodish), Modest Mouse (OK), Yo La Tengo (disappointing); Low Anthem (awesome); Felice Brothers (yay); Caribou (much better live than I expected); Brakes (good); Phosphorescent (I need to check him out more); various others and of course Cyrus Gabrysh and the Zizaniques (French Americana - it works!).

Then Wilco last night playing an awesome oldschool set (including Someday Some Morning Sometime and Laminated Cat :)).
