Just got back from Wilco. Probably the best of the eight times I've seen them, they were super loose (in a good way - relaxed and enjoying themselves). Good long set: highlights were opening with 'Ashes...', the distorted version of 'Via Chicago', Box Full of Letters, Jeff getting the crowd to sing Jesus Etc, and best of all, the end of the gig where the bass guitar failed, and so Jeff played an acoustic version of Someone Else's Song. As in, he played it with an acoustic guitar - no amp, no microphone. Everyone shut up and listened, it was great.

(Only sad part was missing out on a set list, when most people around me got one, and looking at set list and realising they hadn't played Monday or Outtasight. Which latter I'd requested. Oh well )

Also going to Pains of Being Pure at Heart in February.
