11/4 @ fin's pub, oakdale - burden lays buried (friend's band)

11/5 @ mccoys, commack - 25 ta life, whiskey life (friends' bands)

11/7 @ ritual, levittown - skid row (lol! i'm so going just to say i did)

11/20 @ donkey, farmingdale - it dies today (and some really shitty bands... i'm going to hate the little kids that show up)

11/26 @ ritual, levittown - indecision, down in the forth, tension, etc (friends' bands)

11/27 @ vp south - year of confession (friends' band)

12/2 @ ritual - CONVERGE!!!, modern life is war


anyone notice a pattern here?

That venue (and I use the term loosely) is literally two minutes from my house...maybe I'll swing through even though I haven't heard of any of the bands on the bill other than Punch Your Face.....listened to BLB on their myspace...sounds decent.

This saturday: Black Cab @ the spanish club.

more local guitar indulgence.....

which almost makes up for them playing warmed over material from the last 20 years, and msatisfaction for the 75,000th time. :|

Everything you mentioned was something designed to distract you from the rolling stones that are a band that plays music. :\

the singer for blb is one of my best friends... we go back like 10 years. i've only been at finn's once when there was a benefit show for his mom. i like the venue though... and cops stay away. it is a little bit of a drive from my house, but i don't mind that at all.

and yeah, you know i'm nothing more than a scenester and a band whore. lol!!!!!

LOL. I have seen them about 4 times...their energy was always great, but the sound was never quite right...I blame the venue for most of the not so great performances...

They should be tight at Ritual...perfect size, good sound (usually).

Lair of the Minotaur and Goatwhore are far from shitty. I want to go that show but yeah, Mondays suck. Plus I went to Ritual on Friday night only to be let down by a cancelled show.



edit: at second glance, that show isn't even @ Ritual, but I guess I am boycotting Long Island in general. ;)
 
^^^ really? then i guess i'll hang around after their band tomorrow.

what show was supposed to be friday? all the long island shows are thrown by the same few promoters anyway... just the venue changes from time to time. that sucks that you drove that whole way to levittown for nothing. that's quite a drive for you, right?

oh yeah... converge saturday!!!! :)
