about DayGlow: I've been to 2 (one with Chuckie, the other with Sidney Samson). It's not worth the gimmick, honestly. unless you're going for a headliner, it's not worth it to go for the "experience" as it's not all too special. sorry.

but coming up:

9/21 - Dieselboy VS Bare - albany, ny
11/2 - Bloody Beetroots/Kissy Sell Out - NY, NY
11/8 - Dillon Francis/Clockwork/Baauer - albany, ny

International Acts::
PERFECT STRANGER (Iboga Rec.) Israel
From the mid 90's Yuli Fershtat has been committed to his love for Trance, which is as dance as music gets. But a generic label would not do justice to the depth of his heartfelt music, which transposes feelings from across the wide range of human emotions. This so called “new hybrid sound" of his, that incorporates Progressive Trance, embedded in the dirty Techno-ish grooves and breakdowns, actually enables to maintain that oldschool Goa spirit, in a totally new and exciting presentation and composition.

HUJABOY (TIP Rec.) Israel
At Tip Records we are very proud to have who we feel is the most cutting edge artist from Israel. He doesn't follow anyone else and his sound is unique.Full on with a strong sense of groove and super
tight production.Contemporary Psy Trance. No fluff, no cheese. Just high quality, serious, bone shaking psychedelic beats for the new era...

EARTHLING ( Zero-1 Music) Spain

Turbosound by Higher9

FUCKING PERFECT STRANGER! I can't get over this party. It's gonna be so goooooood. I am literally going dance my socks off.

Well my school is really coming through on the electronic music front, we have A-Trak coming in two thursdays and then Wolfgang Gartner coming the next night, both for free. After that I might be seeing Baauer and then Crystal Method for a halloween costume party in a cathedral.

I plan to go see Shlohmo play on the 11th.. can't miss it.

Bonobo opened for DJ Shadow, great opening considering the show. Not too wild but beautiful.

Shadow decided to make a statement by leaving his laptop at home and mixing a pretty wild set of bass music. It was about 70/30% new shit he said he's been diggin lately to his own compositions.

Honestly that 70% was filthier, I damn well danced my freakin pants off %)

Dj Shadow was great, saw him with pretty lights.
Two days til Amon tobin though...ohhhh my

so who the fucks going to moogfest!? You old schoolers better check it out. It is Bob Moog's festival after all, and you dont have to bother with all the camping bullshit.

So someone mentioned Primus 3d? Im curious about this as thier set overlaps with the artist that im practically going for. at first i had heard it was a no glasses 3d thing, but now ive been hearing that you do have to wear glasses.

I cannot tell you all how stoked i am about Moogfest. This will be my 3rd year, and last year i experienced the most amazing show of my life, Amon Tobin performing ISAM, followed by STS9 so i figured there was no way they could outdo themselves this year. Well it appears i was wrong.
This year Orbital is finally making a US appearance with in my region of travel. Squarepusher is also coming to perform a (i believe) 100% digital set, which from what ive gathered this genius figured out how to program music like someone would a program. OH and he programmed the program that creates the music. For example on his last album a snare would be equal to a 10, a certain bass line would be a 39 and so on. Its an amazing album. I would not however mind if he played a instrument based set since he is a bassist. Prefuse 73 is also there, as well as Shpongle presents the Masquerade, GZA peforming "liquid swords" (guy from wutang i believe), Explosions in the Sky, and to top it off, since i missed him at Electric Forest Richie Hawtin is performing which means..........redemption show!

I literally could not have asked for a better lineup, just a better artist schedule since ill be seeing Richie Hawtin instead of GZA or Explosions in the Sky which really sucks. Im not complaining though because if anyone had told me that either Squarepusher OR Orbital would be performing 1.5 hours from my house i would have walked away. Lol and theyre both there. I literally cannot wait. I am just too excited. Every year moog gets better and better.

If theres any bluelighters going PM me and well meet up!

edit: lol oh yea, im also going to see STS9 perform their Great Cycles Spectacle that thursday, which is awesome because they are probably my favorite band to see live, plus my best friends dont have to make a choice to see this once in a lifetime festival, or the ever so amazingly, incredible sts9 sets, which are playing the same weekend.

This month is ridiculously packed.. I'm hoping to see Shlohmo this Thursday (as previously mentioned), some good DnB locals on Friday, Drumsound on Saturday and Vibesquad+Opiuo on Sunday.

Also coming up.. HxDB, Stickybuds, Flying Lotus, Hitori tori, Noisia, State of Mind, and a bunch of halloween events.. I love October!
