I'll admit thats pretty fucked up, but there are much worse things for children of any age than smoking pot. Them being taken away and put in foster care will likely cause more damage than pot ever could.

You guys are seriously underestimating marijuana as a mind-altering substance. Remember how high you were the first time you smoked? Maybe even a little freaked out?

Yeah I totally didn't get high off like two bowls, esp. when you don't understand how to smoke it. I doubt they could get high off it.

This is outrageous. What right do they have to take the kids away from the parents?

Yes, giving weed to young kids is a stupid thing to do. But, as people have pointed out, giving caffeine and junk food to young kids is also a bad idea. I am pretty sure that poor diet, nutrition, and physical fitness leads to millions of health issues and preventabel deaths.

People are developing type 2 Diabetes earlier and earlier these days. Where is the outrage? I am not necessarily saying parents should be skewered for failing to ensure their kids have a healthy diet--I am just pointing out that we seem to lack consistency in what we get outraged by.

Im all for smoking pot!! But 2 and 5 are just way to young of an age to introduce them to pot. I cant believe that someone would be stupid enough to video tape them doing to. Like wtf? They are just asking for trouble.

That's a very foolish and illogical analogy. Marijuana may not be particularly dangerous to an adult with a devoloped brain, but having a possible semi-psychedelic experience could cause long-term psychological damage to a youth, especially someone of such a ridiculously young age. Brains that are just beginning to develop are not meant to achieve such altered states.

Exactly. Psychotropic drugs are for adults brains.

And adult lungs. The lungs don't fully develop until age 8, so a kid who puts anything but good clean air in them below that age is truly a tragedy.
