I've been feeling a bit self conscious lately because my bf hardly ever goes down on me. We're pretty new as far as relationships go, we've been dating for 3 months but have been fucking for 6. All around our relationship is great including our sex life, except for the fact that he doesn't seem to want to go down on me. Honestly, i think communication is key here. Especially if it is making you feel insecure.
Being sexually compatible can be something to work towards and achieve - it's not always automatic or instinctive.
 
How old is he?? I would show no interest in having sex and when he asks why you tell him. For me, if the guy doesn't do it I really don't have much interest in them sexually. The person I am with didn't use to do it and I didn't have any interest in sex with him. He couldn't get me off and it was just frustrating. I didn't tell him though. Is it a possibility he's self-conscious about the act itself? Considering the only times were when he was drunk (more confident?) and in the beginning (sober?). You also mention that "he doesn't seem to want to go down on you" - Are you waiting for him to take the initiative or have you communicated it to him? I've had to ask women in the past.. and I've had them ask me too.

I wouldn't go down the route of denying him sex/favors before first communicating your needs to him, those are the actions that form long lasting cracks in a relationship.

Thanks for all the replies :) I give him head occasionally, I've been doing it more often as of late in the hopes that he will return the favor. I enjoy giving head and denying him that seems vindictive and counter productive imo.
