There are so many things to wonder about death from the other side of it. Like whether the box, containing your ashes remembers containing my paintbrushes and paints or whether it is just another inventory of similar weight. Or whether it questions serving such a strange purpose in life, carrying these useless burdens; for after all, the paintings of the sea were no more the sea than these carefully wrapped ashes are your beloved body.
