bottled water

My tap water tastes horrible when not filtered. Changing the filter regularly also makes a big difference. I recently did a taste test. Had 4 glasses of water 1. new filter 2. used filter (few months). 3. no filter 4. bottled water. I had a friend taste the waters, who wasn't aware which one is which. They were able to tell the difference right away b/w all of them with the newly put on filter tasting better than bottled water. They graded the glasses like this 1,2,4,3 with 1 being the best tasting and 3 being the worst. I change the filter every couple of months. W/o the filter I couldn't even make soup, the water tasted so nasty.

ziggy its not about water tasting bad jeez. y nobody fucking gets the point of this thread ? you guys are too lazy to read and try to take time to comprehend i guess.

Insulting people isn't going to get them to answer your questions any faster.
IMO bottled/tap/filtered water is all the same. There are minor taste differences and probably some things are a little different between them all. I think the biggy though is bottled water and the chemicals in the plastic.

No one got my lame joke. :(

I did I did =D Evian is Naive spelled backwards!

Edit to add some usefullness to the thread: there's some discussion on bacteria in tap vs bottled water in one of the IV FAQs, maybe in the Other Drugs forum? I think the consensus was that bottled water was more likely to contain microbial bacteria as it could potentially be sitting on a shelf for months after bottling.

People are just sharing their opinions and thoughts in the most respectful way possible. Just because they dont coincide with yours doesnt mean people are "attacking" you. Chill out. You made this thread to generate discussion, and you dont have to get all antsy just because someone made a (decent) post that you dont agree with.

Yep, me too. I am just creeped out by this. I have an aversion towards plastic bottles stacked by store windows too. Sometimes the taste is decidedly gross, and you never know if it was left sitting under the sun during transport/stored beside some engine or whatever.

To reduce the uncertainty that comes from examining all the conflicting scientific studies funded by different institutions, I like to stick to good ol' glass bottles. I can put hot tea in mine, leave it under the sun, sterilize it with hot water. Simple, takes a bit more effort, but way better than tasting plastic all the time.

If you know how plastic is produced and don't even want to think about whether levels of chemicals in materials resource, then stick to glass.

Pretty!! Did you crochet that yourself ;)

lol Cornishman! =D

mariacallas, no, I actually bought it from an American woman at a bazaar who works with some community or the other. It's made with abaca fiber is supposed to be a wine holder.

These bottles aren't so rare! Just buy sparkling water or something or an expensive mineral water that is in glass. A one-time cost ;)

European water (at least in the UK) is flourodated.

its getting harder and harder to get away from bottled water with high sodium levels and flouride.

to be perfectly honest, i ONLY drink evian.
some people say im "naive" but then again, it doesnt contain flouride, and actually tastes like water, looks CLEAR, and has the lowest sodium content on the market.

heres the nutrition info for Evian:

-Composition in mg per litre-

Calcium - 80
Magnesium - 26
Sodium - 6.5
Potassium - 1
Sulphates - 12.6
Chlorides - 6.8
Nitrates - 3.7
Silica - 15

other brands such as Volvic etc tend to make me feel more thirsty after drinking.
for the past 3 years its been Evian
for me, and i havent looked back.
I have a garage FULL of evian multipacks (of the 1.5 litre bottles) stored in containers.

expensive, but worth it IMO.

at the end of the day, its all down to personal preference.

tnx sega. sux that even bottled water contains shit amounts of fucking floride. it seems to be the most amazing tool of the state now days to insert their brainwashing chemical elements in most important aspects of need for life. pfft

This thread is a bit scary. I heard about the dangers of plastic bottles, sunlight, etc, and mostly use glass bottles now. I wonder if those alluminium ones are ok..

asecin, different american regions have different water contents.

there has been tons of different medications found in public water (tap water),
including anti anxiety meds, sedatives, neurological, etc medications.

there is NO scientific basis for any reason that flouride should be in the water.
Sodium Flouride is the main ingredient in rat poison (obviously in much more concentrated amounts)
and is also a lathargic chemical, causing laziness and and IQ drops.

do people honestly believe that governments and corporations would spend MILLIONS of dollars flouridating water
just to help the population have healthy teeth?

in a glass of 8 ounces of water there is approximately 11mg of flouride.
the same as in a pea sized amount of toothpaste.
the difference is-
YOU DONT SWALLOW TOOTHPASTE.

dont get vaccines, dont drink tap water, dont listen to the bullshit fed to us by the NWO.

open your eyes.

anyways, back to the main subject of the thread...

No one got my lame joke. :(

Actually I think that's intentional on evian's part. Naive is french for young I think.

On topic: Dont you nuts know about the flouride metaconspiracy? The flouride government mind control conspiracy theory is a conspiracy by bottled water manufacturers to get you to drink bottled water.

"there has been tons of different medications found in public water (tap water),

wow really ? where did u read that shit ? i didnt know they pour all kinds of rainbow coloured meds in the water tho lol :(

It gets there when people dump their meds down the toilet. When the water is 'recycled' not all the chemicals are filtered out.
