i worked at this place for 2 years, went back to school for 3 years and now i'm back to the same job. i'm sick of this work but i needed the money. any advice? i've already looked for another job but nothing really interest me. i feel like i'm getting old and i'm in mid 20s doing nothing important.

I know how you feel, man. I'm a job-jumper myself - been working since I was 16 and never held the same job for more than a year. Now I'm 30 years old and am pondering all the time I've wasted working shit jobs just to pay the bills. BTW I just turned in my 2 week notice at my current job in order to start yet another gig :\

The only real advice I can give is to do the 2 week notice thing, don't just quit jobs. Before you know it you'll have a slew of jobs you can't even use as references because you were too impatient to ride it out for 2 more weeks. It's harder to find a new job when you can't explain all the holes in your resume.

Good luck :)

I like to stretch my jobs so they cover the gaps. I've never had a previous employer object.

most people dont work for the fun of it. they work to get paid and make a living. it helps if you like what you're doing, but it's not necessary to get a paycheck. my point is if you accept the fact that you need to work for the financial means to support yourself, then it doesnt feel so unfulfilling. If you've ever been unemployed and in need of income, you'll learn to appreciate any job you have. There are alot of people out there who would be happy to trade places with you
