Books on pro-criminalization of drugs. Are there any? I want an opposing view point for my paper and to find information countering the pro-criminalization agenda.

The Bible.
More specificly Jack Van Impe's Prophetic Bible.

It says that Sorcery= Drugs

Beware pagans, drug addicts, drunkards, Rastafarians, and Peyote consuming Native American Shamans. You are all going to hell.

Although the bible itself doesen't actually say much about the laws of man exept to follow them when they don't contradict God's laws or commandments.

The Bible says nothing about criminalizing drugs, about the only things that could be considered a drug back then were wine and known poisons.

I am confused, do you want books countering the pro criminalization of drugs or agreeing with it?

In regards to the bible, it isn't really even anti drug anyway, just anti "gettin so effed up you can't control yourself anymore" Speaks of moderation, and drunkenness being a sin, but not drinking itself. As for drugs, aside from genesis, where we are told to use what God gave us, where is there a reference to drugs and "herbs" and other intoxicants?

Considering a small bit of marijuana is not only not dangerous, but a miracle medicine in some cases, I don't see how it is at all sinful biblically.

Check out any government funded library and you won't be dissapointed. Watch out for Uni's library's though, too much truth in those.

As a librarian, I can say that we're supposed to purchase books that tell both sides of a story, so any decent library should have both pro and anti-drug books :).

hmmm....as a start, take a look at Erowid's library page, which lists a huge number of books on drugs. You should be able to get many of them at a university library. If you aren't near one, a public library would probably have some of them. Some of their books are online as well.

Oh, and there's a list of books about ecstasy in the FAQ forum - list.
