Am I the only one who thinks that Huxley's writing is dry as hell? Don't get me wrong, I liked what he was saying, but I've found that trying to actually finish anything by him is excruciating at best.

My favorite is Higher Wisdom, a book of interviews with the "elders" of psychedelia. Laura Huxley, Stan Grof, and Albert Hofmann are just a few of the interviewees. You really get a sense of each persons' philosophy on psychedelics. I also learned a lot more about the history of the legal use of psychedelics before prohibition in 1968. If there is anyone out there questioning the legitimacy of the psychedelic experience, THIS is the one book to read![]()
