The best thing i could possibly fathom to read in a bad mood.. would be any Tom Robbins books. If you don't have at least a small feeling of a grand "love for live" and not to take the world so seriously after you're done...well.. i don't know what would lift your mood. :)

Well said.

I'm also a fan of the Calvin & Hobbes comic strip. Good for what ails ya.

I would have picked a particular Tom Robbins book.. but i dunno, I like them all. I would say Jitterbug perfurme, Invalids Home from Hot Climates, Skinny Legs and All, Still Life with Woodpecker, and Village Incognito are the ones in which I adore the most though...

This insn't really an uplifting book but Angela's Ashes by Frank McKourt is a kick-ass read and it makes you appreciate the things you have because these guys have nothing. Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'dell is probably the best ever, and that;s not just my opinion, I mean it's really the best ever.

word about Angela's Ashes... but I highly disagree with Island of the Blue Dolphins. I had to read that in my 7th grade english class and I despised every minute of it. Although, I do agree that survival or trumping novels lift me up better than the other so-called inspirational novels.

The Celestine Prophecy (sp?)

Everything will just start to make sense :)

If everyone read this book the whole world would be a better place to live in.
