Boogieman or Bogeyman?

Man... you guys haven't been reading your childrens books lately ;) When *I* was little (actually the original was written in 1977, and the popup version was produced in 1982)... we had the Fungus the Bogeyman pop-up book (actually I think it was called a Plop-Up) book. ;)

Hehe but, it just shows I don't learn well, if you asked me now, I'd definitely refer to the boogieman. I think bogeyman is a bit british.

This is because channel nine would get most of the money back in tax. They just write it up as a charity donation on their tax return.

funnily enough i was driving outbound along the SE freeway in the citylink area where i say an add for linen or blankets or something that had a little girl, a mum and a dad in a bed which read, "protection from the bogeyman" or similar! i wonder if channel 9 put it out? 8)

On another note I can't prove this of course but:-

"Who's to say if he had said 'Bogeyman', they would have said no that's NOT right,it's boogieman".

My theory being they put a question in("and many are like that,NOT that I've watched that crap for a while:p") that could have two answers and channel 9 would pick the answer to suit them, to avoid giving a prize away.

Channel 9 - Just another example of a dodgy or it that dodgie BIG business,he,he,he,he................ :X
 
I saw them discuss this on last nights 'the panel' I have to disagree with Burgo and co. I think the poor guy got screwed.:(
