Is it possible to grow a banzai tree (art of miniature trees) out of a marijuana plant? If so what would be the best strategy and how much bud could I expect to harvest? Thanks in advance!

The answer to your questions is more complicated than you asked for...
but anyway...
Yes, you can Bonzai marijuana, BUT this is primarily a technique used for keeping mother plants small and manageable. It's unlikely that this technique would work for a flowering plant, but there are other methods to keep plants in the garden small. You'll find better information at icmag, or by googling "lst marijuana" where lst = low stress training. This technique allows you to keep the plant small (relative) and can increase your yield.

Thanks

Thanks a lot, that's actually very helpful. Have you ever tried this lst technique before or know of its successes?

I knew Carl Winslow and Steve Urkle were growing some high grade hydroponics. Those two always laughed a little more than the rest of the crew.

^^ OMG you knew his name

Carl your avatar has been cracking me up for ~week now.

Jimmy McNulty, the fact that you remembered his name makes my day :D

Yo i def cracked up when i saw Carl Winslow! thanx for the links guys, very helpful, i'll post pics of my successes! hopefully!

I have also wondered the same thing... If youre thinking of what I am though I don't think the tree would be able to bud... maybe who knows, but I would be fine with just having the plant and leaves to smell on my desk haha

I like the idea of the mini buds, but as for the growing a plant without any buds just for the smell on your desk lol, i don't really think its a good idea. Unless its a motherplant the risk far exceeds the rewards.

^It won't. You'd be pruning any buds back if it did start to flower, to keep it bonzai. Bonzai is not for flowering, but for mothers only.

^However on some of the links you sent me earlier there were some people who took banzai bud to the level of budding and were harvesting about an 1/8 off each; not bad for a desk plant lol. But i suppose that goes back to your original idea of lst not truthfully banzai.

hardly a harvest for all the work.

head-stash, plus a good small operation would be good for practice for a larger one, and I'll def start posting pics!

Also, the spelling of the word is "Bonsai," meaning "tray cultivation" in Japanese.

"Banzai," literally "Ten thousand years," is the Japanese colloquialism meaning either "Cheers!", "Hooray!", or "The Japanese Air Force was a poor career choice," depending on the context in which it is said.

Not a big deal, just figured I'd give you all a little foreign language lesson =]

ive made stunted plants by growing in 4 hours of direct sunlight out doors, it did bud, merely skipping veg. these were not lowryders though. Dunno if youd count it as i didnt trim it, i actually forgot about this plant lol so it got neglected and never transplanted out its seedling pot.
