So the 2012 Bonnaroo initial lineup was released today. http://lineup.bonnaroo.com/

I haven't been since 2005 but Phish, Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Umphrey's McGee, and White Denim all on the same lineup might have me taking the trip to the farm.

phish ? whens the last time they played a show? do people get high when phish plays? anyone know who ween is

Last Phish run was this New Years. Not a great run but 2011 had a lot of great shows. Yeah, I think everybody knows who Ween is. From your posts you seem to add a lot to bluelight. 8)

I was just going to make this thread :]

Fuck yeah, Radiohead is back! That's the only band I need to know that's gonna be there for me to be there
There show in 06 was incredible

Oh shit, Mogwai too, will be my first time seeing them

Bring on June

I would recommend not relying on a festival setting to show you what live Mogwai is really all about. With their heavy reverb they are best experienced in a small venue. But at least you won't leave with ringing ears this way I suppose. :)

Lol yeah
Still, it was a great bday present to wake up to this morning :]

Shit Laika, you're not so far away, we should have a meet up
I think Waao is planning on going as well

Have you ever been to Bonnaroo?

All depends for me after they announce more bands. I don't think there are enough to tickle my fancy yet unfortunately.

i'd rather do wannee or hangout. but that's just me.

i have friends that have been going to bonnaroo since the first one. i've never once even considered going with them. just seems like too much. i might go if i had an RV.

for the most part, lame

due to my impatience with people there just for the party and lot thugs/trash, i'm not really keen on any megafests, but would consider all good, which will be held in ohio(buckeye lake/legend valley) this year, instead of longtime host masontown, WV

all good has been way better to me than shittarroo. Theres just way too many fucking people at roo and there is NOWHERE to get some shade. its fucking aweful. It was 107 a couple years ago. who the fuck wants to dance to radiohead in heat like that. I mean, its not like praxis is raging late night, or the dead is bringing in warren to play some floyd covers. Im sorry, but bonnaroo is done. Electric Forest is where its at imo. they have fucking cabins!

Wwhhoo Yyeeaahh, Radiohead!!! I saw them when they were at the 'roo in '06(?) but I couldn't make it through the whole show consciously because I was so fucked up. It is always a gamble with the bonnaroo line-up, either hit or miss. Although when they have "big head-liners" that I love, I always chew the idea of going in the back of my head.

The President of the United States of Bonnaroo, anyone?

i take that back, the entire line up is lame as hell

add about 100k sketch balls and 95 degree heat, hell no

stop trying to recreate woodstock

very rarely do bands put on a great performance at events like this

from the recordings i've heard, it is true

bands want the spot light and don't like feeling rushed

i think

i understand the general notion of festy sets, but there have been some pretty epic shows at boner00.

but i'm with you. no thanks.

I would rather go see Roo than All Good or the more useless, jam band catering festies out there, but that's me. I'm just not into that. I'm thinking about going again this year...
