Bolivia to produce "Coca-Colla"

If I was in a position of power in Bolivia, I would have ordered the American DEA agents hanged in the street.

That would be a real "fuck you, what now?" kinda move. Like setting someone's king on fire in the middle of a chess game. :D

then millions of pawns bullrush the other side and kill everyone on the other side:\

lol.. for some reason I find the image of someone setting fire on the enemy chess king and saying "fuck you, what now?" to the baffled opponent very amusing.

As for the soda, I just hope it's strong enough.

This is pretty cool, imho he has a right to preserve his countries culture and I disagree with drug laws but its even more ridiculous for the west to expect Bolivia, or any other country, to give up some of its culture to support the western "drug war".

I know I didn't hallucinate this: in the 80's in Miami we had something like this, but it was a malta, not a cola. I will give a cookie to anyone who can find a historical reference for this. I was very little at the time, and I've been diagnosed with multiple psychoses in the ensuing years, but I vividly remember this being available on supermarket shelves in Miami in the 80's.

Why "colla"? The pronunciation would then be Coca Coya. Is this a pun?

finally a country standing up for itself! The DEA are nazis in different uniforms

I wonder if this stuff is gonna be decocainated or whatever like coca cola is. Interesting note, this is done via a supercritical CO2 extraction at a plant in New Jersey.

I am sure they will be willing to ship it wherever, its your own customs that may impede it

why not just make cocaine legal then?
more controversial with foreign governments, and probably with the population. society "aint ready" :(

it's the difference between pure caffeine powder and tea. the former would have more potential for problems for most people

lol does anyone else see what I'm seeing? The Coca-Colla company is probably a front to manufacture cocaine while creating a tasty drink at the same time.

Just as in the USA where we have Coca-Cola

In the United States, Stepan Company is the only manufacturing plant authorized by the Federal Government to import and process the coca plant,[32] which it obtains mainly from Peru and, to a lesser extent, Bolivia. Besides producing the coca flavoring agent for Coca-Cola, Stepan Company extracts cocaine from the coca leaves, which it sells to Mallinckrodt, a St. Louis, Missouri pharmaceutical manufacturer that is the only company in the United States licensed to purify cocaine for medicinal use.[33] Stepan Company buys about 100 metric tons of dried Peruvian coca leaves each year, according to claims by Marco Castillo, spokesman for Peru's state-owned National Coca Co.

lol where will Bolivia's unused, extracted cocaine go? :P

Reference was from Coca-Cola's Wikipedia page.

Damn, then it won't be legal to import it into the USA :/ That's pretty badass though, if I ever go to Bolivia, I WILL have to try some if this happens :)
