bolded threads are have new replies. plain font threads are threads you have already read.

Also a nice tip for you if you're still trying to familiarize better with the forum.
When you see a bolded thread, to the very left of the text there will be a circular button with an arrow pointing down on it. This ->

If you click this, the page will automatically bring you to the most recent post in the thread that you haven't read.

to be taken to the last post in a thread. it is toward the right side under the name of the person who posted last.
