First time I learn Jimi Hendrix was in a band. Always thought it was just him and some random guys.

The bassist and drummer for Jimi Hendrix experience were Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell. Redding was a guitar player that got saddled with playing second fiddle to the best guitar player ever, and was notoriously a jaded dick about this. But he did actually write and sing some of the material in the Experience, his sensibilities were much more basic 60s pop than Hendrix.

Mitch Mitchell was like a jazz drummer or some shit, he was pretty good though imo and he did play with Hendrix on other projects. Definitely not the same as John Bonham though.
 
A lot of the myths and rumors about Hendrix drug use and behaviors came from Redding himself. Many people that knew Jimi pushed back against these things and many did not like Redding.
 
Hendrix also played with Buddy Miles for awhile there, who was a good drummer, but that didn't last long. Mostly because Jimi died, I guess, because seems like they had a good relationship. Maybe because they were both black in a mostly white music scene

i'm listening to we built this city right now to remember that song, and that part "marconi plays the mamba. listen to the radio." just that line always made me feel real emotional and was awesome ime... LOL. that song goes in and out of being really emotional to just being normal fun pop music.. parts of it sound really bizarre and hit close to home.

If you just put one artist I'm going to assume you are only voting for one of the two possible votes because you couldn't decide between the other. Since there is some confusion I will give it some more time before counting the votes for this round
 
Iceman for example just said zeppelin, so, I mean I'm only going to count that as one vote in the final four if he doesn't reply back and clarify, and any other random posts so far that say whatever, I'm not gonna count them in the last round ahead of time. If you don't see a post by the person counting saying what the results of the vote are, don't assume the round has ended. Voting only begins on the next round after the person that's doing the tournament says it does
