eon_blue... I do love that shot. I remember being very impressed by it when you first posted it :)

Sunset/Moonrise at the Grand Canyon.

Awesome is a word that is very much overused, but not when it comes to the canyon. None of my photos do it justice!

That does look good.

But until I experience the GC for myself, its still just a hole in the ground :D

This is the Wiswell covered bridge in Ashtabula County, Ohio. Went on a covered bridge tour recently and got some killer shots. T'was a great day for a wide angle and a polarizing filter. =D

n3o, it's from the top of Hanging Rock, in Hanging Rock State Park, NC. It's GORGEOUS there... waterfalls around if you take other trails. The mt. in the pic is Pilot Mt., which is another destination for hikers, although mostly people who like easy hikes and moderate climbs.

2008
Chile—The fury of Chaitén volcano seems to set the sky on fire. Highly charged particles of pumice roar upward in spreading clouds of gas and smoke, generating crackling tangles of lightning.

I can't really take any kind of credit for it though, I found it in National Geographic... just thought I'd share because it's... uhhh... awesome.

Holy shit dude, I thought that was your entry!! 8o 8o 8o

Awesome pic =D

P.S. maybe put some NSFW tags around the pic, just to avoid confusion of people thinking it's an actual entry?

That is indeed a one-in-a-trillion picture. Amazing... and I never knew volcanic eruptions produced lightning.

Fast rising hot air mixing with icy particles way above. Static... that similar effect happens in the rain shadow of the Midwest, producing quick-born bastard storms that produce tornado stuffs.

Science is fun.

Looks like Joshua Tree...

Could be...there's a rock formation that looks just like this when you get off the 118 at Topanga Canyon though. Pretty common for southern cali I guess %)

so the weather was quite nice and i did visit the oceanside... it's still as captivating as it was when i saw it tripping, except the waves looked a lot cooler than :p i hope you're not agoraphobic :)
