i have a pic i'm gonna post, but i didn't take it because of the road; it's just in there. but i haven't entered in one of these for a while, so i wanna help boost participation :)

Pillthrill: you do post some nice pics, but i've noticed they usually (always?) seem to be pretty small. you're not gonna get any winners with something that's only 400 pixels wide. :\

just some friendly advice, please don't take offence. :)

Something so simple has been made to look so detailed

The contrast of the road markings against the black is also awesome

Okey-dokey, felix. As you asked so nicely. :)

I took it on my way to work on Wednesday. It was just after 6am so there wasn't really that many people around. I set my camera to macro mode, rested it on the ground, then tilted it up slightly. And there you have it. It produces a really strange focal range like this too.

I just wanted to do something that looked really different, and I'm happy with it. That's always the most important thing. And if other people like it too, it's a nice bonus. :)

Pillthrill: You've posted a couple of pictures of Wales recently - very close to where I live, in fact. The Snowdonian mountains you posted last week can be seen from my window :). Well, when the mists clear anyway. I thought you were based in America - holidays in Wales, perchance? It's an amazingly beautiful little country really :).
