Bluelight weekly photography contest Round 83: Roads

Hmm, they're both very different. My white lines one is a lot more original so I think I'll go with that. Long exposures are a bit cliché these days

^That was the right choice IMO. :)

Though personally, I am very keen on the whole car trail lines thing as well.

I asked my Welsh mate though :(

Unless he misread the I and thought it was an L

We do :D.

Pillthrill: You've posted a couple of pictures of Wales recently - very close to where I live, in fact. The Snowdonian mountains you posted last week can be seen from my window :). Well, when the mists clear anyway. I thought you were based in America - holidays in Wales, perchance? It's an amazingly beautiful little country really :).

Iechyd da :D.

Heh heh. How many can pronounce that, I wonder... ;)
Most of the pics I use are from Wales simply because its so beautiful there. I spent a month there as part of a enthographic field study to study Welsh culture, through my college.

"Iechyd da = something like "yekkid da". It means "Good health" and is traditionally exclaimed before sinking a pint ."

I learned that one, as well as a few others to get around and at least make an effort. I "learned" how to say, "Good health to every Welshman and every Englishman is an asshole." That would get you a pint in some pups, but 1. I couldn't remember it and 2. Its not every nice and usually you are in mixed company so you could upset someone. Not good.

Ha! That'd get you a night's worth of free pints in North Wales :D. I'm on the fence on this one cos although I have Welsh blood on my mother's side, I am essentially English.

It really is a beautiful country and it's right on my doorstep. I really ought to make more of an effort to see more of it. Always the same isn't it? If you live somewhere stunning you hardly ever make the most of it. You probably saw more in a month's visit than I have in the last five years 8).

You have shamed me into getting off my arse and appreciating the scenery a bit more. Diolch yn fawr :D.
