^Thanks & thanks for the votes folks. I'm humbled :D

Klue's Kermit is a great pic & the one that made me stop & stare at it, taking it all in. Very nicely done. A very close second was Bushmonster's - great colours.

Great round everyone, all very good shots in their own unique way. :)

i went for cletus. his was by far the most talented one up there, and i couldn't tell what it was at all. except i saw his post before he edited it so i knew. :)

Woohoo! Well chuffed to win this, thanks for the votes.

Here it is. This was a present from my auntie years ago that she got from a blacksmith in Perthshire, Scotland. He makes all manner of ornaments from just about any old scrap. I love it. :D

For a long time it was a choice between Tribal Girl (mainly cos I'm mildly envious of her Cenobitobian (no, I'm sure it's not a real word) box. Apart from the subject, I also very much liked the simple, striking composition and perspective.

The other front runner was Cletus (a very popular choice, it would seem). The lighting, colours and textures are just lovely.

But then BushMonster pulled an absolute (bush)monster out of the bag: Simply gorgeous and (in my oh-so-very-humble opinion) one of the best photgraphs I have ever seen on BL. The winner by a country mile. :)

PS - I'm sure there are legions of curious people out there just dying to know what my piccy was (actually I'm sure that there isn't, but I'll tell them anyway). It was a bag of syringes. Hence the reason it was called "Orchid" - it looked vaguely floral and the "orchid" is the plume of blood that rushes into the barrel when one pulls back the plunger. Simple, yet oh-so-very pretentious :).

PPS - Bollocks! I've gone and done it again: missed the voting. I am a buffoon. Oh well, it's still an opinion...

I'm impressed. The last thing I think of when waking up in the middle of the road after the mother of all benders is "Oooh, a macro shot!".

Your dedication astounds me =D
