I'm slowly learning to embrace the Vivid++ mode. ;)
 
Shit, Banquo, is that the view from your apartment?? You must be a partner at one of those firms with 10 associates per partner who then work them to death to afford that kind of view. Poor associates. But it's worth what you do to them every time you look out your window!

Very nice photo in any event. :)

actually taken on approach to laguardia last week on a mostly clear day. 10000 feet maybe?
 
I shot this one from the top of the empire state building - I love how you can see the sun and how the sunbeams are coming through the clouds giving the landscape a strange orange glow! ;o)

^^you don't see the main-land in the back-round.. thats the city of LBI..i know its small i guess it doesn't count i dunno MODs ignore it if its not right........."but i thought it was a beautiful picture :)"

I think for all the rounds the topic is subjective as every photographer will have a different idea for the theme (a good example for this was the first "Holidays" theme we had a while ago) and pretty much anything (within reason) will be entered provided it follows the rules (sizing, editing, etc.) that apply to every weekly photography contest.

This one's going to be one tough round to vote in, judging by the spectacular entries.

fair enough.

and yeah, it is a very pretty picture, but in order to succeed in these comps, the image requires to focus more on the subject of the week. just advice, is all, because what spork said is right on the money.
