I voted for ~*geNeRaTiOn E*~ - absolutely cool photo. When this round first opened, I remember thinking I wished I had a fire twirling pic to enter, so was happy when I saw that.

heehee i voted gen e's before reading the thread....LOL, i really liked how clear the photo was sa and nonnihilnitoris were equally my next choice- anything with proper flames wins in my opinion(little pyromaniac i am)

I didn't even notice the eyes in SA's photo until after I posted. Very cool! I voted for nonnihil. Not sure why, but it struck me the most.

Spork-- that photo reminded me of some good times on scout camps playing with fire and naptha. Imagine that photo times 4 or so to get an idea of the scale of our best fireball Kudos on the timing, that must have been tough.

I'm having a really tough time deciding in this round. I like the minimalistic depth in nonnihilnitoris's entry; spork's just screams "FIRE!"; gen-E's fire poi give her fire the most life and beauty; alasdairm's... I keep staring at it wanting to bring it more into focus to see the fire closer; Johnny1's has the most intimate human ingredient, as usual; and so with others... Really tough!

^ Gen E's shot is a time lapse isnt it? Probly an exposure for quite a bit longer than normal. Thats how i've seen those fire twirling shots done before.
It was a couple of days ago, but thats the one I voted for im pretty sure.

i doubt it's time lapse - just a long (relatively) exposure. without wishing to devalue the shot, if you have access to a fire-spinner, they're easy to capture

^ yup, it was just a long exposure shot. i had tons of shots to choose from since i went to a pre-burning man party on the beach where there were 5 or 6 fire-spinners but that was by far the best shot i had. i actually thought there were going to be a number of fire twirling shots but i'm astonished with the creativity that was used in the round.

alasdair, where was that shot taken? tahoe fire maybe?
