IAMTHOUGHTS- Yeah, that'd be my guess. 40 years at the very least.

From what I saw, the style of German graveyards is to plant stuff on top of the graves, tend them for a generation or so, then let them grow wild. Looks way better than the manicured graveyards in North America IMO.

True, some that I saw were more overgrown than others. Most still looked a lot more natural though than the (admittedly few) cemeteries that I've seen in N. America. Different tastes I suppose. I've yet to see a cemetery that wasn't beautiful and serene.

/me Apologizes for veering off-topic --> IAMTHOUGHTS, great photo BTW. The focal contrast is really striking, and you've really captured the cat's cautious optimism.

And much more sensible, IMO! Nothing is more beautiful than an overgrown grave. If I have one wish when I die - aside from not being in a coffin - is to have at least a tree planted over my grave.

Anyway, you have produced a beautiful photo, my friend :).

I agree! I'm still trying to decide what type of tree I want. I'm thinking a fruit tree of some sort, probably apple. Either that or an elm, they're so majestic when they are fully grown.

And thank you :)

L2R, what's with the no boats in the harbour?!

Black and white shots really suit this theme. It's going to be a hard choice :)

Very nice! great DOF.

I cant decide if i want to buy the "nifty fifty" 50mm f/1.8 or if i should spend the extra cash and get the f/1.4
anyway, nice shot fenix.

Rainbow Belt...

BA - That's a really good shot.

I grab alotta these fo' backgrounds...
Thank you all.

Um,
believe me on this,
I figured it fit's thou,
with a story.

I like stories.

O.K.,
so,
there was this rainbow coloured
belt, that a dog had previously used
as a toy,
an' then left it,
rottin' in the middle of a big back yard...
I pick'ed it up,
an' cleaned it,
then tied it an' photo'd it...

It prob. (mos. def.) (def.)
would have gone into binladenfill
if I hadn't been 'rescue'd'(?)
...

does that qualify as 'Abandoned'...

Feel free to omit if peeps don' think
it fit's the guidelines...

I'm sure you will...

PEACE
